Well howdy stranger! Haven't heard from you in a while. :)

Hello, sir :)

Fatboy is looking like a good time! Rumor on mtbr they're going to release a sub $1600 fatboy.

This is it.. haha. It's available in blue and this charcoal/black deal.

$1500 before tax. I figured i'm going to swap out a bunch of stuff anyway, so it wasn't a big deal to start out on the "lower" end.

I don't know if the SE is going to just be the regular Fatboy or what they're doing, but if you go on to the Specialized website and click on the regular Fatboy, it just takes you right to the SE.

iPad Air 2

Technically free, technically not. Free in the sense that i didn't have to pay for it directly from my own wallet. Not free because it likely came out of my tuition fees.

Desperately needed a new beard trimmer so I ordered a Wahl Peanut and some clipper oil for maintenance. It has some great reviews on Amazon so I'm hoping it'll work out really well. Usually I go with the cordless ones but the batteries always seem to eventually die a few years after.

Also, Twisted Veins High Speed HDMI (25ft) cable:

My cat chewed my other HDMI cable, so I'm hoping this one that's wrapped in some sort of fiber will protect it, lol.

I picked up a PolarPro microphone, cable, and USB->3.5mm adapter for my GoPro so I can record zoom-zoom rather than whoosh-whoosh sounds at the track. I will be up at Thunderhill this weekend so we'll see how it works.

Picked up a Tempur-pedic TP4000 chair at Staples for around 60% off. Last one in store and it was the display model unfortunately.. Still a decent buy at $120+tax. I was already in the market for a chair and was about to pay around $100 full price for a cheaper model HONS chair.

Just preordered Steven Wilson's "Hand. Cannot. Erase." 180g Strictly Limited Edition w/ Art Print vinyl. Can't wait to hear it, meet him and see the concert.

Enjoy your chair. I am still waiting for mine (a Klober Moteo) to be made in Germany, and look forward to taking happy possession of it in due course.

Espresso machine and grinder from ECM, german engineering made in italy!
You can check them out here: http://www.ecm.de/index.php?id=11&L=1

Wow. These look absolutely gorgeous. I must see if I can find out anything more about them. Well wear, and I hope you get great enjoyment and pleasure out of them. What is ECM actually like? They are a brand I must confess that I have never heard of, but if they are that wonderful fusion of 'german engineering made in Italy' I doubt that you will go far wrong. Sounds ideal!

Very nice! Have you come across our Espresso Thread?

The exact same question occurred to me when I read Dowjohnny's post, and drooled over his exquisite German engineered and Italian fashioned espresso set up…...
Thanks, yes i have ;) Silent lurker :D

Why not join us? You would be more than welcome.

Besides, having posted pictures of this marvellous set-up, there are a number of us who will be quite fascinated to hear how your set-up actually turns out in practice. So, you can expect to receive requests for a review, in due course…..not least from myself.

First of all i'm glad that you like the setup =) You can certainly find out more about them by visiting the link i provided in my post above, they do have their homepage in english language also. What brought me to them is first that they are located close to my current living place near Heidelberg, Germany, second i liked the combination of german engineering but italian "soul". They actually produce in Milan! Unfortunately they therefore are a bit on the pricey side..

Thanks for inviting me to your thread, i will certainly post a little review to it once i have set up everything, which as you certainly know will take some time and adjusting ;)

I do love the set-up. Thanks for posting the link to ECM. The combination of German engineering and Italian 'soul' is a match made in Nirvana, or some version of coffee heaven.

And, next, before I dive into your link, which exact model is that which you have just bought?

Yes, we most certainly look forward to your comments, observations and reviews when you have become more familiar with your wonderful new machine.
