I am currently working on restoring a 1972 Honda CB350 K4 (motorcycle) into working condition. The last parts I need to get it working properly (I think/hope) is the below rebuild kit for the carburettors. I ordered two of those, as it has two carbs. I am located in Europe and I ordered the parts from the US, so it takes a little while for them to get here.

I just picked this guy up today and rode it 9 miles home. I have not ridden a bike in several years and my energy levels have been really low because of my wacky body and only being able to eat protein.

I was going to get another electric scooter but then I might as well get a e bike once I realized they had a throttle. So if Iran out of steam I can ride without peddling. But I was able to ride the full 9 miles today non stop. Once I cranked the assist up to full I was cruising close to 20mph. 15 up even fairly steep hills 8 degree grade.

Last night I picked up a chart of San Francisco Bay I had framed. It turned out nicely but good lord was it expensive. I was planning to have three more charts done and framing my old wrestling jacket but rethinking it. Maybe the closet is the best place for them.

After two years with no dock for either my iPhone or iPad mini I decided to get a twelvesouth HiRise in black.

Nice! How did you like it? I bought the watch/iPhone HiRise model for the main storage at home and like it very much.

For my desks I went with the Belkin wireless charger. It’s perfect to use with FaceID and easy in/out when leaving the desk multiple times a day.

I love old maps and charts, and they are the kind of thing (along with some art) that I like to see on walls. They look better - and can be enjoyed more - when displayed, rather than lurking in a closet.

Ha!

Me too.. I used to draw them!

I was made redundant by a mac... of all things!

Lol

Last project... Peters Atlas of the World (1993)

"All sorts of cartographic distortions can mar a world atlas, from overemphasis on particular regions (usually North America and Europe) to inconsistent map scales and skewed map projections. This work succeeds brilliantly in overcoming or min imizing such problems. Based on con cepts of equal scale and equal area projection developed by Arno Peters, a German mapmaker and mathematician, the atlas truly offers what it promises in the forward: "a new geographical picture of the world based on equal status of all the peoples of the earth." Specifically, it includes 43 double-page physical maps that cover the entire world at a single scale (1:8 million), and an 18,000-entry index which furnishes access to place-names. In addition, 246 thematic maps provide an array of information about the world's people and resources. The maps, all in color and extraordinarily readable, are products of the Swiss firm of Kummerly & Frey, and Oxford Cartographers in England."

I have some old plates and copper lettering but no space to display them... oh well.

Old maps have a special charm; elegant, artistic, and yet telling you something.

The best of them are objects of beauty (as well as information). I can't be the only person who has spent hours perusing an atlas.

Re recent purchases, some books, and CDs, and paella rice come to mind.

Oh, and beer. Must not forget beer.

picked up some clothes for autumn and upcoming festivities

Nice, clothes can be so pricy!

Im a different generation so my tastes differ, but dang those clothes look tiny. 😲 I don’t think I could get one leg in those first slacks or one arm in the sports jacket. Now, this isn’t intended as a humble brag, I’m just saying there ain’t no way!

Perhaps, it is a different generation, - but, yes, I agree with you. In any case, much fashion nowadays (for both men and women) seems to be for very 'fitted' and tight clothing.

Nevertheless, I'm from a different era, and generation, and I prize comfort, thus, I like my clothing cut a little looser. Actually, to be quite candid, a lot looser.

Guys no worries, I think the pictures make them look a lot more tiny than they actually are ;) also if bought in correct size they are really comfortable! But I agree that the current style is very fitted, but I like that! Especially with suits! Can’t stand those baggy politician suits.. but as you say, generations.. ;)

PS: more than enough room even for the bigger tools :p
