Nose cancelling headphones. I've been thinking about getting some for a while. This week the water company started digging up the road outside my house which tipped me over the edge.
Once you use them you don’t go back. I have the Bose QC 35’s and they are excellent. Especially when travelling (although I’ve not done much of that lately!).

We had a special occasion recently that required a cheesecake and since I love pizza my wife thought it would be fun to have a custom one created that looked like a deep dish pizza (compliments to Lilac City Bakery - Spokane, WA):

We both love card & board games and my wife loves Nick Seluk's web comics (especially the Heart and Brain comic), so this was a no brainer (no pun intended):

Really like this stand for my iPad 12.9 - awesome, very robust, solid and swivels in many directions to fit any angle you want to use it with

Uh, no picture but just got a subscription to Funimation to watch some DBZ episodes and Apple TV+ to watch Greyhound. The kids will enjoy the Funimation to watch whatever anime they are into lol...

Got some ‘adulting’ items such as new ring outdoor security cameras for the house and withings digital thermometer.

Found some switch lites close or at retail price so score.

OnePlus 8 Pro. Getting bored with using my iPhone all of the time so I added a line to my T-Mobile account and decided to just carry each.

The lawn service at one property is $80 week. I’m planning to retire in the near-ish future so can’t justify paying out that much a month.

So, I bought this today.

Congratulations!
As they say, Nothing Runs Like a Deere!

We have two JD lawn tractors on the farm, plus a full-size JD tractor and a JD Gator. JD makes great equipment.

Want to come round and do mine? Cut the cable on the lawnmower at the weekend. I wasn’t happy. Simple enough repair, but I’ve had it less than a year.
I’ll see your “less than a year” and raise you a “managed to catch and cut the cable on a hedge trimmer first day”.

as you say, a simple enough repair but holy crap is it annoying. Why they insist on black cables (but then also sell high vis bright orange extension cables specifically targeted at outdoor work) is beyond me.

The most expensive cable I've ever bought! 10m type2 charging cable for our PHEV to allow us to reverse the car in and still charge up. Can't believe what these cost!

I don't print a lot, but when I do, I want the printer to work. No more inkjet printers for me.

This is a good idea. I have a now ancient Dell colour laser printer. It's survived two house moved, plenty of DIY dust and still keeps trucking. Still on it's original toner too!

Last new tech purchase for me was my iPhone XR. Not often I upgrade 😆might have to look at the Apple Silicon Mac offerings in the next couple of years!
