My Wi-Fi router decided to give up today, so I figured I might as well do the upgrade I was thinking of late last year. Time to move away from consumer networking hardware.

Nice! I almost have the same , but I have the UDM Pro that's about 18 months old. How do you like the SE?

I just bought Native Instruments Action Strikes, which was on sale, so I had to snag it. It's a sample library, so I can't really post a picture. It sounds great though!

I've always wanted one, my wife purchased for me for my birthday.

Always wanted to be able to play, never going to happen though :). I will just continue watching others play.
I think there's a certain excitement that comes with either one. When playing, you're enjoying yourself (hopefully) and just having fun. When listening to/watching others, it's more the energy that they're giving off that makes you feel excited, especially when the band's super tight. Although what's interesting (in my experience at least) is the fact that when playing with super good musicians who are really tight, I don't really notice the fact that the band is tight and sounding really good—but I DO notice that when listening.

Anyway, I'd been LONG overdue for a new keyboard, and a lot of people recommended the CP88, so that's what I bought!

I did it guys! Can't wait to lay my hands on this finely-crafted piece of gear! This was well-deserved, that's for sure.

Well done and well wear; dare I express the hope that you will enjoy it both personally and professionally.

My old keyboard had lasted me nearly 6 years, and it was great, but it was about time for a new one. I think this new one will be much better for gigging, especially since it's built out of metal

Fretless neck? No fret lines or fretboard markers?

I just spent a couple bills on parts to redo my silent state rig for 2023... hopefully I'll be done after this rig build... that's if it turns out how I envisioned it.
Yes unlined - I have an unlined (maple board) Precision also - I like to rotate them out for gigs.

The original neck was fretted and I rather ruined it by stoning the frets down to the tangs, some fell out - lol!
It also has truss rod issues.

Iphone 12. Another ebay bargain. Mainly to go with my new Apple Watch, might also use it for music and such. Probably won't actually use it as a phone. Not the latest thing, but fine for what I want it for.

It came yesterday, and I've enjoyed it in both realms! On my solo gig this morning, I didn't even have to turn the volume up very loud, because the sound is so balanced between the low end and high end—usually to hear the high end, I'd have to turn it up more. So it's been great to me so far (and will continue to be)!! And people were happy I'd finally upgraded to something better.
