After debating since the announcement, I decided to bite the bullet and order a rMB. I got a backpack for Uni, USB-C to USB adapter just until I go wireless {hopefully sometime soon!}. Also, free beats, because you know, free! {I don't think I got charged 1p for them haha!} Everything should arrive on Friday View attachment 574834

I already have a 13" rMBP, I just wanted to try out the rMB. It was delivered today - a day early - and I'm really liking it so far, although the keyboard is going to take a little bit getting used to. I'm also really impressed with the speakers, they're amazing!

It's an Apple Store thing. If you buy from anyone other than Apple, there's no "deal".

It's an Apple Store thing. If you buy from anyone other than Apple, there's no "deal".

In the past when they've had gift cards for the back to school promo I believe that people have been able to get retailers like Best Buy to match the offer, so, it may work with the beats headphones as well.

How do you like this drive? Thinking about adding it to my MBA for my iTunes library.

I love it. I never carry my external hdd in my bag anymore. it's fast too. Some reviews say they are getting slower than advertised read/write speeds but I get a little over on a 2013 MBA. Some reviews also complain about the drive ejecting when their machine wakes from sleep but I don't have that problem.

I have several different brands of these. They all work well, and it is much easier to carry than an external drive. Mine include the Transcend, PNY StorEdge and the Nifty MiniDrive. I use different drives for different sets of data.
