could you post a pic of your mac with the skin on? i ordered one from dbrand that is just matte black and love it but debated the carbon one also

Don't remove the back part.. cut it in half and cut a square part where the apple logo gets expose.. that way you can center it and easy to move around and line up..

Got a Cyberpower CST135XUL 1350 VA UPS after my old APC Back-Ups Pro 1400 gave up it's batteries for the 3rd time over the past 13 years. It uses two 12 volt 17.5 amp batteries in series which cost close to $100 for both. So instead of buying new batteries, I bought a new Cyberpower UPS from Costco for $99.99. Since the wattage draw is only 40 watt between my home security DVR, Cameras, Fios modem/router, and my obi voip device, the Cyberpower should be more than enough for a couple of hours of battery backup. Battery replacement will be a lot cheaper as well since it uses two 12 volt, 8 amp batteries. Since we don't lose power here too often, It should be more than enough.

Got an Andis soft folding blade case for my Oster Classic 76 to keep my blades clean and dust free. Capacity is 9 blades. I paid $12.69 shipped from frankroweandson.com. BTW, I cut my own hair and like different lengths depending on the season.

Ha, I just upgraded my UPS as well! Went from a APC ES550 to the Cyberpower CP1000PFC model. More battery outlets to hold down all my tech/networking stuff for a few minutes when the power goes out.

Very nice. Mine is a simulated sine wave UPS which is fine for electronics with digital power supplies like computers, modern TV's, DVR's etc. Not good for analog power supplies that older and some newer electronics have. The one you got is pure sine wave which is good for both. For my purpose, simulated is fine. Good luck with yours. I'm sure you'll love it :)

A 3rd party MagSafe charger melted a small part of my MagSafe port on my 5 y.o. MacBook Pro, and I was planning an update soon, so I ordered a refurbished MacBook Pro Retina 13.3" and a 960 GB flash drive to bump it up...Pricey day!

Would you recommend the CyberPower over the APC? I need to get one for my Mac Pro (just incase those reports of the El Nino are true and it makes landfall, guaranteed power loss) and was looking at the Back-UPS Pro 1500. From your reports though it sounds like the APC is a bad buy.

I've owned 3 APC battery backups since the mid 90's. 2 of them had electronic failures after a few years. The last one (Backups Pro 1400) has been dead reliable other than expensive battery replacements every 3 or so years. In 2011 I bought 2 1350VA CyberPower UPS's and they work great. They use smaller batteries which are much less expensive when replacement is necessary. The latest CyberPower is very similar to the 2 I've owned for 4 years with an updated display and better features. So far I haven't had to replace the batteries in my original ones. They've been dead reliable.
The New APC's look very similar to the CyberPower's. My old 1400 looks industrial. It's made out of metal rather than plastic. Can't say anything about the new APC's since I have no experience with them.
Do I recommend CyberPower? Yes I do :)

The old APC

Astro Gaming A50's. While I play on my PS4 way more than on my Xbox One, I liked the white color better than the boring black ones for the PS4. Plus, the Xbox One versions come with the Xbox controller cable, which is a $22 accessory, for free. Still, with the price these damn things are, I really hope this is the last gaming headset I ever buy.

How do you like these? I was going to buy one since I cut my own hair too, but the amount of maintenance required on it scared me away. I always cut down to 1/16th or 1.5mm so I just ended up buying some Wahl Seniors.
