Grainy night pic but it works.
My wife and I were at a local Golf Tournament last night and like at most of these events that sell raffle tickets I'll buy a few. Then there was a silent auction going on as well, I then noticed a Phantom 3 Professional that noone had big on yet. $1,000 starting bid was a little up there but I'm thinking if noone else makes a bid I may put my name down since these things are around $1250ish on Amazon + tax so I could save about $300 and I've really had an itch for one since the 4k model came out.
I waited until the last minute when they were coming around and taking the silent auction bid sheets and jotted my name down and told my wife..... "Hey you look good tonight, I just spent a thousand bucks, don't hurt me."
I had almost completely forgotten about the raffle ticket/door prizes, 2-3 minutes later a friend of mine says you may want to go check your tickets and see if you won anything. So I walk over and then see a Phantom 3 Standard, I kind of laugh to myself and think yeah right. So I go check the winning ticket and sure enough, I won it as well off of a $4 raffle ticket.

So, long story long. The standard is still in it's box, may get sold but the Professional is quite fun to fly and the photos and video it takes is pretty damn good.

Topping it off I notice that the controller will perfectly hold a full sized iPad Air for the monitor.

This is amazing! I have been itching to get one and it goes back to why the hell do I need one!?! Why the hell not is the answer!! Congrats.

Haven't had a case on my iPhone in a long time.

So you bought the Professional and won the Standard?

Levi's 505 denim jeans. I purchased them used from eBay. The faded pair is my other pair of 505s that I purchased in 1992! I only have these two pairs of jeans. I have other pants though! ;)

I see these on TV commercials. Is it anything better than a regular blender?

Well they claim to blend better than other machines, and extract more nutrition. Also they are really easy to use and clean. Just fill the cup, screw on the base with the blades, place into the base unit and it starts liquidising. Drink straight from the cup, then rinse both parts under the tap and its done. It also easily blends ice cubes, seeds, nuts etc.

I add a selection of home frozen fruit, fresh banana, handful of spinach, then a few sunflower/pumpkin seeds, and a couple of heaped spoonfuls of yoghurt (or coconut water). The fruit hides the taste of the spinach and tastes great.

I accept the arguments about exposing the fructose/natural sugars of the fruit, but if I didn't have the nutribullet drink I don't think id be consuming anywhere near the required level of fruit & veg.

and extract more nutrition.
That's the part of their advertisements that I don't understand. The nutrients of any food is going to be present regardless of how it's blended. The body will get the same matter regardless and utilize the nutrition it offers. The difference in losing any nutritional value would occur when heat is applied.

Unless I'm off base, that particular claim seems more like a marketing tactic.

Aside from that, the easy to use and easy to clean up part is quite nice and as long as it does what the user wants, that's what is most important.

I bought 4 Feit Electric model BPA15/CL/LED/RP bulbs from Home Depot for my outdoor fixtures. They draw only 2 watts, but put out the same amount of light as a 25 watt incandescent. So far very happy with these. BTW, I keep them on from dusk till dawn. Hopefully they last.

I've converted all the lights in my apartment to LED's over the last 4 years and so far, they all still work. Much more energy efficient and far less wasted energy in the form of heat coming off like the incandescent bulbs.

You should be quite pleased with them.

I love LED's. I've been using Cree 40,60, and 75 watt equivalent LED A19 bulbs, and several BR30 Cree 65 watt equivalent flood Hi-Hat bulbs for the past year and a half. I've been quite pleased with them. I got these because they're on for 12 hours a day and use so little power. 8 watts for 4 fixtures. Can't complain about that.

What's this all about? I've not heard of this before.

I consume most of my food in smoothies.

Its been said that blending fruit breaks it down to such an extend that more of its naturally occurring sugar (fructose?) becomes available to digest, and perhaps coat your teeth in the process. Im not saying this is fact, just others beliefs. Regardless, I'm consuming 2 fruit/veg smoothies per day. Prior to buying it I was hardly eating fruit at all.

Your probably correct, I guess we shall never know as all nutritional reports seem to contradict each other.

Well, the important thing is that it's helping you be more healthy. :)

I have also replaced every light in the house with LED bulbs.

How is this any different from the Magic Bullet?
