I was considering this one, until I saw someone on Amazon who said his melted and left a huge stain on the floor. But after reading your comment I might just pull the trigger, and worst case scenario I will buy a fire extinguisher too :)

That's not good. Anyway, you can have issues with any piece of electronics no matter who makes them including Apple. Now if several people were having the same problem, that would be a major concern. Since it seems to be an isolated problem, I wouldn't worry about it.

Shure MVi & Shure MV88.

I'm planning to be out of the country next year and needed a more mobile setup for music and audio. The MVi will be my iOS and laptop audio interface. It's usb and lightning powered, has the same solid build Shure's microphones do, and it fits in the palm of my hand! So far it's working great.

The MV88 will probably be used more for field recordings and audio for Canon & 6S video footage.

They're both lightning compatible, so I'm hoping Apple keeps the 6S lightning too.

Dayum. Where from?

Some idiot on ebay

9 in total - a friend had the rest, only one was faulty, a 2.7 liquid cooled one, which he's using for a pc case mod project.

They're all cleaned up now, inside and out, just minor chips and knocks near the handles and a few scratches...

I don't have much interest in the Apple Watch. Its too expensive for what I'd get out of it and I don't see much practical use in my life for that price.

I am waiting for the 2nd or 3rd gen when it has heart rate monitor until that time it is useless. Hopefully they get cheaper. I really haven't seen any one with one other then my boss who has the 10k one.

I agree with you 100%. I'd never buy one. I'll stick with my old fashioned analog automatic watches.

Till they give you a reason for one then it is useless. Much like a cell phone. I remember in high school my GF having one and a couple of my friends having them. I didn't want one because I hate talking on the phone. Then the 1st iPhone came out and it was cool but still not something I thought I needed. Then I got the iPhone 4s and don't know how I lived without it.

A heart rate monitor, all week battery life, tracks your vitals, automatically calls 911 if it senses a issue. Have you ever seen that life line commercial where the old lady falls haha. If they some how put that in the watch it would be cool and a reason to get it for your parents/grand parents. Right now I don't see a reason for me to personally get one as I haven't worn a watch since the 7th grade when someone made fun of my Batman Fossil watch. Haven't missed it.

Same here. If I'm going to spend several hundred dollars, or more, on a watch, it'll be for a traditional analog one. One with style, class, and elegance.

The most I've ever spent on a watch was $500 for a Citizen divers watch.

Take 2 of decided to just replace my cranky 2010 iMac with it's 2013 successor. While the Mini was tempting, I just do not have the wherewithal to deal with monitors etc. right now.

I'm tired of making myself N-V-T-S Nuts as per Mel Brooks, so I jumped. I also am a little skittish of buying a first gen 21.5" riMac, if said machine is released this October. My educational discount helped too.

I bought a couple of pair of sneakers which I needed for the gym. My old ones, New Balance, which I like, are wearing out.
