I go crazy on Ali Express... Recived 1-2 packages a day the past year:)

I like the milight lighting system (good hue alternative) and the broadlink rm2 pro and other broadlink smarthome devices.
Xiaomi also makes some nice cheap products.

Genuinely curious... why do you need an inflatable vest on a bike? Never heard of that before. Then again, I don't ride bikes so there's probably a lot I've never heard of on that. lol.

Theres a lanyard fastened to the bike frame, which clips onto a tether on the vests air cylinder. If you become separated from your bike the lanyard pulls on the cylinder and inflates the vest, hopefully before your body makes contact with the ground etc. Its just an additional safety measure.

Your car has airbags right? Similar idea.

Gotcha! Never heard of it, honestly. But like I said, I'm definitely not a bike guy so that isn't surprising.

Parcslope for my iPad Pro from Twelve South. So far I really like it. I would love it, but it has a very slight warp to it, so whenever I tap on the lower left of the iPad, it rocks a tad. It's very subtle, but I notice things like that. Not a deal breaker though. It props the iPad at a higher angle than the smart cover does.

American Eagle order. Live in Greece, and every time my mom travels to the States (currently in NY), I always place an order for clothes, shoes, and other stuff.

This book on the Shaw Brothers studio is long out of print. Thankfully, a kind peer at the Kung Fu film forum I belong to alerted me to a very good copy selling for the original cover price $50 - which the max I would and could spend. Here's to it being a good read.

Also additional university admissions tuition - back to the State I go. This means I won't start at the State until May, unless they decide to squeeze me into the Spring 2 session at the last minute. At least I can and I'll have enough money saved for two semesters by that point.

I went to the movies with a few mates and forgot it was a new year for some reason lol. I ended up getting the new Harkins Theaters loyalty cup and t-shirt (which gets me a free medium popcorn or a $1 upgrade to a large :p).

I have to say, I love the design of their cup this year.

I then got a friend of mine (who is an engineer) a "late" gift for his recent graduation from university.

iPhone 6. 16GB, Space Gray, AT&T in near mint condition for $369 off Swappa. I haven't had a iPhone since the iPhone 5s I had for about two months a few years back. I've had several iPod touches and a iPad Mini since I sold the iPhone 5s, but I felt that I wanted to try out the iPhone experience once again. I definitely won't be replacing my 6P with this iPhone, but it'll be nice to experience "the other side of the fence" every once and a while. I'm excited.

I upgraded to the German nib and it does indeed write very well, very smooth. It's a medium nib and I wish they had a fine nib available, but I like it.

Personally, I tend to prefer a fairly fine nib, too, and I always write with a fountain pen. It is better if you use it to write a lot. Yes, I can well imagine that the German nib would write properly.

Actually, it is lovely to write with a fountain pen that glides smoothly, when writing, without placing too much strain on your wrist.

Enjoy it.

I ordered another fountain pen, this one from India. It's called the ASA Galactic. It's an "eyedropper" pen and holds a crazy amount of ink.
I wish you many happy hours with your new pen!
I think I am one of the few collectors/users of fountain pens who prefer a Medium nib to Fine or Extra Fine. Nowdays I prefer Montblanc, Pelikan; Sailor and Platinum from the Japanese makes.

But my all time favorite has been (now in the drawer) the Parker Falcon. The most wonderful, original fountain pen I have ever used.
