Just curious how often you do print at home?

I have a printer, but rarely use it. But, when there's tasks that I need to print stuff for work when teleworking, I'd like to not have to worry about ink drying up and from my understanding laserjet doesn't?
 
A (boat) navigational route planner app for iPhone and iPad, so Greek islands be prepared for the viking invasion from the north :cool:

If your work is not in color & you don't print regularly, an inexpensive Brother laser jet is the answer to your prayers. I got one for $50 on sale at Best Buy years ago, and haven't had an issue yet.

A few times every week or two, normally. Hardly enough to justify having a printer, I suppose, but I've always had one and like the convenience. The main problem with an inkjet printer is that the ink would dry out, and I'd wind up having to clean the print heads, repeatedly, which in turn consumes more ink, and a simple print job would turn into a real PITA. As a consequence, I printed less often that I otherwise would have liked to.

A laser printer doesn't have that problem. It can sit for months, and when you hit Print, it prints.

It will be interesting to see if I wind up printing more, since it is no longer an issue. I still won't print much, compared with a lot of folks.

The Laserjet is turning out to be a fine printer. Now I just need to figure out who to give my old inkjet to.

If you have a relative that is always asking you for stuff, that you aren't particularly fond of, they get my vote.

Or at least that's what I did. I even threw in extra ink. They needed a new printer once the extra ink ran out. 🤔

Told them I couldn't help them. My laserjet was still working like a champ.

I don't need color, but I would like it. I'm alittle OCD when it comes to making something I'm in charge of look best.

Needed a home server upgrade. Picked up this beast on eBay for £200. 2x8 core Xeon CPUs, 64Gb RAM, 2x600Gb SAS drives!

Home server! I run multiple different networks (primary, kids, guest, iot). I have Ubiquiti networking gear so the controller for that is in Docker. I have bind and Pihole on a couple of the networks, AirPrint server, AirPlay proxy and a bunch of other stuff like Plex. Plex transcoding should be fine in software! Right now I’m using a Synology NAS but it’s running out of puff so I need something with a bit more go. This is cheaper than a new Synology and way more capable. I can run a NAS os in a VM, a bunch of Docker containers in another VM and still have power to spare for other VMs I might want or need (say a spare OSX instance or Windows 10 instance)

I have two sneakers I've always wanted. A pair of Nike Acronyms from ACG & a pair of Travis Scott Cactus Jacks. Seeing as how I can't find a pair of Cactus Jack's in the wild I could afford, I jumped at the chance to get this pair of new & unworn Acronyms in person. I just love the design.

I've also wanted to try a new keyboard, and was interested in the new Logitech MX Keys for Mac. I pre ordered it from Amazon who finally gave a me a date of July 31st to mid August. Logitech's site said it was sold out at the time. The mall ( yes, I had to brave a shopping mall, 👀 ) that the shoe store was in, has a Best Buy. Turns out last Tuesday, BB got shipments of all the new Logitech stuff, including the MX mouse and new K380 keyboard.

The mouse is NOT the new version. Didn't see a need for it yet.

I LOVE the smart illumination.

I went through the keyboard purchase a few months ago. I finally settled on two CODE V3 with Cherry MX Green. I have a couple Model M’s but keeping them.

It’s a tight park to the front of one vehicle and if I didn’t do something knowing me I’d undoubtedly bump the garden tractor $ome day. Plus I want to be sure there’s ample room to walk comfortably around the front.
