Bought myself a refurb iMac. I was on the fence between the green & silver models, but thought what the hell.

It my wind up going back though. Those M1 Pro & Max chips are tempting - either in the MBP or a new Mini or iMac Pro. I’m so indecisive. Either way, even the base M1 blows my 2013 iMac out of the water.
And back it went. I barely even powered it on. I thought my toddler had cracked my iPad screen protector, but nope. He somehow managed to crack the glass underneath the protector. The iPad gets far more use than the iMac would have, and the cost to replace the screen is firmly in the “just get a new one” territory so I prioritized.

Now to decide between the 11 or 12.9-inch pro. My current one is/was the 12.9, but I like the portability of the 11. But that mini-led screen on the 12.9 sounds nice…

Asked my wife for a front glass mini fridge for my office/gaming/streaming/music room for Christmas. It was delivered 2 days ago and convinced her I needed to set it up now because there is a 30 day return if defective window... LOL... But that was my real honest reason for plugging it in early... I could have easily waited for Christmas.

I’ve had a standard Instant Pot pressure cooker for a couple of years and use it a few times a week. I could never live without it now, a great investment. Enjoy!

So far I've done the Zero Minute Chicken (almost cover in cold water, throw in some herbs and cook high pressure for 0 minutes, then leave to naturally pressure release), then air fry to crisp the skin. It gets it up to pressure and then stops, but the heat generated cooks it perfectly..

With the stock left from the chicken I made a lamb stew & dumplings..

Picked up an HP Envy 15 for my mother-in-law. Its replacing an 8-year old HP that she currently has. I tried to get her on a Mac, but at 82 she's just not willing to learn a new OS. I like this machine though, and its running a lot better after a clean install.

She’s 82. The fact that she’s willing to embrace technology at all is good. My parents aren’t quite that old and are hopeless!
