Farewell, AirPort. You treated me well, but your ~300 Mb/s bandwidth cap had to go.

(Now that I've bought one of these, watch Apple restart AirPort development...)
Greek ISP is Vodafone connected via LTE (no cables which is too slow here only 25 Mbps) - the current speed is 78 Mbps and Ping 28 ms, not the same as our 1 Gbps fiber at home in Denmark, but we have to "suffer" on this small Greek island using our old faithful 2015 MacBookdid you check speeds? how is the ping and speeds? do you know the manufacturer?
ah thanks... I have one of their cocottes. But I don't know if I could be caught with this in my kitchen...🤔A cast iron/enamelled vertical chicken roaster made by the French company Staub.

I loved Thinkpads before making the switch to MacBooks about 5 years ago. I have great memories of my Thinkpads with the last one being the W510Might get me cancelled from the group, but I have started a small collection of older Thinkpad laptops which I used a lot during my business career. Just scored one of the most coveted, a T420. Only paid $35. As you can see in the background, Macs are still my daily driver.

My first laptop was a ThinkPad. I would say up until the mid-2000s they were the undisputed leader of business laptop manufacturers. The engineering and design that went into ThinkPads was second to none. Later got a Sony VAIO Z series when the ThinkPad division was sold to Lenovo, and eventually transitioned to Macs when Sony exited the PC business.Might get me cancelled from the group, but I have started a small collection of older Thinkpad laptops which I used a lot during my business career. I loved the T420... as a part of IBM/IBM Global Services for over 30 years, we always used the ThinkPads, even after Big Blue sold the line to Lenovo... I switched my personal computing to Apple around 2008, but continued using the ThinkPads at work until I retired the end of 2015.Might get me cancelled from the group, but I have started a small collection of older Thinkpad laptops which I used a lot during my business career. Not to stray too far from the primary reason for this thread. The thing that has got me interested in the old Thinkpads again is how much they parallel Mac laptops. Like MBPs, up until the early 20'teens, ie the retinas/ultrabooks, the Thinkpads were very user serviceable and mod-able by the user. And even today, Thinkpad enthusiasts are still using 10 year or older machines for their daily drivers. And being very friendly to a variety of linux distros make them a hackers dream machine similar to Macs running on BSD for those who like to venture there.Might get me cancelled from the group, but I have started a small collection of older Thinkpad laptops which I used a lot during my business career. Did you need a cloud lifter with your interface?Just delivered at the front door minutes ago...
I know I posted purchasing a Scarlet 2i2 not to long ago... which would require a cloud lifter. But I'm using a Elgato Wave XLR audio interface with the SM7B. The Wave XLR is equipped with 75dB of gain... so a cloud lifter isn't required. Reason why I went with the Wave XLR is because I was already using the Wave software with the Wave 3 mic... which my kid wanted for his bday... so I gave him mine.Did you need a cloud lifter with your interface?
Amazing! I love ThinkPad! OS/2 also! In the 1990s I used the ThinkPad 755CV. The back cover of the screen was removable and the unit was then placed on an overhead projector for presentations.Might get me cancelled from the group, but I have started a small collection of older Thinkpad laptops which I used a lot during my business career.
