how is across the universe in blu ray ive been thinking of getting it but not sure if its worth the extra$ over the dvd version

I actually just got home with these discs about an hour ago and dont have time to watch any of them tonight :)() and I probably wont get a chance till the weekend at the earliest :):)() so I'm not able to answer your question.

But it's HDM. And I don't care how crappy an HD transfer may be, it's still better than SD. Not to mention uncompressed audio (especially on a film like this). I wouldn't watch Across the Universe any other way!

And Blu-Ray won today, so give em some lovin! I may hate Sony, and I may have preferred HD DVD...but at the end of the day...I watch movies, not formats.

Sorry for the rant :p

Fixed it for you; shuffle certainly ISN'T cheap for a 1GB MP3 player with no screen, no equaliser, etc, etc.

can you find a cheaper mp3 player with itunes compatibility?
didnt think so, i think its cheap too esp since its dropped in price il be grabbing one myself when i can decide wether i want the red or silver

I agree... 49 bucks for any ipod is a steal... I own a touch and a nano (along with an iphone) and am considering a shuffle for the gym.. Its small clipable size and reasonable price cant be ignored.

I wish they'd drop the price of the older ones (previous gen.) or even the refurbished ones. They are all still $49 also. Let's see, buy a new shuffle for $49 or a used, but in new condition shuffle for $49… hmm? I really want an orange one from the previous generation (in the clearance store at apple.com right now). I think I might just go ahead and buy one for when I go running. It's just not practical to run with an 80gb iPod.

I was talking about 'mp3 players' (e.g. primarily hardware) not 'mp3 players with support for proprietary software'. As far hardware is concerned, the Shuffle is extortionate for it's capacity & features. Don't get me wrong I'm not biased against the player, I actually own a Shuffle myself, but it is anything but cheap.

true the hardware is expensive for the price but your buying build quility and good customer care if anything goes wrong.
iv had a cheap mp3 player that was worth the price of the components, i dropped it once from waist height and it littererely broke into several pieces!

had to order off on-line Apple store as local Apple store didn't have any in stock and now having to wait 1-2 weeks for delivery.

Say hello to my new little friend. 2000 Discovery with 82,000 miles. White on Tan Leather, heated seats, heated windshield, premium harmon/kardon audio, dual sunroofs, and all the standard options.

After looking at 8 other Rovers I found the one. I should be picking it up this weekend.

Do you do a lot of off-road driving?
