Valentine 1 radar detector. If I was to ever buy a detector, that's the only one I'd ever consider.

Radar/Laser detector. Far superior than any of the other RDs out there. The sensitivity is amazing and the patent on the arrows is a great feature. I've owned a beltronics RX65 for about a year and half, I sold that to parents and bought a V1.

Not to mention the fact that they've used the same body for how long now? Oh, and they try to use the same internal components so a basic software upgrade brings you up to par with the current ones being sold. Plus it's fairly programmable as far as sensitivity to different bands of radar, is it not? I want one BAD! Just have other things to spend my money on, like food to keep me alive.

Exactly, and with the patent in, no other radar detectors will have the arrows until that patent expires. I'm the same way as you, but I just found out I'd be getting $522 from tax return and $300 from the government to "help" the economy. So I get a V1

Aww, I'm sure you'll get one! If it's any consolation, there is talk they will get a revision this spring with hard drives starting at 160gigs. When you get yours you can post photos and tell me how I should have waited.

I have been busy buying stuff since I came home to this -

I picked up some curtains for the sliding glass door, don't want people to see my "toys"...

Also, since my "sense of security" is out the window I picked up some lamps. It is similar to this, which I have each light pointed at my Derek Hess prints.

I also picked up a desk lamp the resembles "pixar light". I was inspired from the "lets see your set ups" thread.
