Last thing I bought was the Case-Mate Phantom Black iPod Touch Case. It hasn't arrived yet, but is being delivered tomorrow.

Wow I am surprised you can even remember buying all of that

I just ordered a pair of Shure E3's Musicians Friend is having a sale I was able to get them for $100

Did you look at Jays dJays before you decided on the Shures? I was amazed at what I'd missed when I moved from my E3s to my new dJays.

That's a mighty tall order. Shells typically aren't especially warm. And warm layers aren't typically waterproof/resistant. Perhaps you would be better served with two separate jackets where the warm one could be worn under the shell?

Where did you get the shirts? Were they from the Top Gear website? If so, how did the currency change workout?

<snip photo>

Needed more room for cold weather gear.

I had that pack, the BADLANDS 75, and it was the best pack ever. Survived many many miles of of backcountry all over the northeast, loved it.

Got the hub at Circuit City for $30. It is self-powered but it came with a power adapter also. It's worked great so far for my external hard drive, VIOP phone, printer wireless mouse and iPod.

Yeah, they're from the Top Gear site (a link brings you to a 3rd party store-http://www.officialproducts.co.uk/). They were about $75 shipped for two shirts which is pretty insane (stupid exchange rate) but considering that you can't get them anywhere else and I'm a huge Top Gear fan I deemed it worthwhile.

That's what i was thinking. I have my north face fleece the one everyone has (i think its called the denali) which is warm but once it rains/snow its soaked and isn't warm. I wanted a light weight, but warm jacket that i could wear to and from class and walking to and from my car etc when its snowing/raining. I went to the north face store in MA and they recommended this jacket for my purpose so I thought it would work. So i finally found it and bought it. I went out side this evening and wasn't too impressed....
I did some research and everyone says how warm it is. I don't see it or maybe i'm expecting it to have built in heaters :p

I have the Mountain Hardwear hooded Synchro. It's almost as warm as my Denali and almost as water proof as my H/H rain coat. It's as close to a do all jacket as you'll find.

clothing in china is cheap.

striped hoodie in the middle is from UNIQLO, a great Japanese store found throughout Europe and Asia but unfortunately only has New York locations in North America. cost me only $13.54 CAD.

tailored wool coat on the left, $41.02 CAD.

long-sleeve striped shirt is from H&M, arguably the most overpriced thing, cost me about $20.37 CAD.

These prices are all tax-free. :D I lurve China!

Hot beans! I'm planning on buying a very high end Logitech mouse in a few months. I bought a Microsoft/Razer Habu (going off MS making ACE mice and Razer having that brand name) but it sucks as a work mouse. The left click is dodgy and frequently double clicks on a single click, and you can't drag anything since it "lets go" whilst holding the button down.

Terrible mouse and neither MS or Razer will pick up the warranty. Plus Logitech just look so busy and complex that the nerd in me wants one baaadly

Enjoy. I assume we'll be seeing you in about 6 months. :)

I've never been much of a gamer before. Mainly limited to Gran Turismo on the PS/PS2. I've also been very much on the negative side about using Macs for playing games.
I also have attention issues so getting hooked on WoW is a complete surprise to me!

Just have to wait for the DVD drive to arrive tomorrow to install BC

Mountain Hardwear makes some nice kit. I know here in Memphis you can find it at most higher-end outdoors type shops, so there must be somewhere up near you that carries it. If you have an REI, I know they carry the stuff. Other than that, I'm sure the Mountain Hardwear site has a way to find places that carry their gear.
