Crown-Towers-Deluxe-Club-Suite-Living-Room.jpg

* OK, that is really not my living room (Google images) but I thought I would try and top that poser that posted before.

I've been going through a divorce (wife cheated on me) and I'm back on square one and starting over! But, this time I do everything my way, which I'm fine with. Here is my living room so far, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

ready to die on vinyl is pretty cool. room looks nice.

Here is my living/tv area. I took this photos just now and it's dark so I apologize for the bad quality.

But you still get the idea. Pictures don't do justice, but yeah, who cares:p

Main goal this area services: Watching movies.

PS3 located below the TV for playing Blue ray movies as well as a iPod docking station and some other stuff. Digital Box for watching digital/HD tv. 2 rear speaker located behind the couch which you do not see.

Another very nice space!

I finished painting my living room, and it's presentable enough that I figured I'd post a few photos. There's still some work to be done (I'm waiting for some art I ordered to come in, among a few other things) but all in all it's coming along well! =)

I love the way you have your TV in the middle of the room. It sounds like a stunt I'd try to pull off (and have in the past). :D

Yeah, it works very nicely... The trick to making a setup like that work (at least for me) was finding a good way to hide the power cable, hence the rug ;-). Visible cables drive me nuts!

The location works great, because the TV can be turned to face the table, so if we're playing a card or board game we can put something on in the background.

I don't think it would look so great if it didn't have the room divider no the ceiling though. It has more of an impact on the effect than you might think. But I agree, it looks good.

Agreed -- while the beam across the ceiling is a relatively subtle feature in person, it does have the (almost subconscious) effect of dividing the room, making it feel almost like the TV is backed up against an invisible wall.

I didn't really notice that, but I have a habit of not noticing things like that because there's one right above my head as I type this lol. (I have my tables in between the living room and dining room)

I'm eyeing this piece to go in my living room... can I get some input? :)

**Notes: What I'm trying to figure out is, 1) I have my own mount so I won't need the optional one, but is it my responsibilty to drill holes in it just as it was my own home's wall? and 2) it does hide the cords right? I hope there is a hole for cable management, other than that... I love it.

^^pretty sweet and def functional for your a/v setup. You can probably do yourself a solid though and check out the lineup at IKEA. I've seen these units on sale there for probably half of what that site says.

I'm about to make my decision soon, still haven't gotten ^ that entertainment center yet. I have fallen in love with the style of this one but I just don't think I can bite because it's made from particle board. Has anyone seen the same design with SOME kind of better build quality? I've seen a few solid wood designs online but they run 3-5k and I want to stay under $1500. I know I definitely want the "wall" design to mount my 52 LED to...

I have literally been looking non stop since my last post and cannot decide what to do.

I love all the flat panel TV's hung on the walls. Some day I really have to get around to putting my television on the wall. It really looks nice in many of these photos. :)

Good to see your watching ER!!

^Thanks. I realize you can't really distinguish in the pics, but it's actually all dark brown. :)
Personally, I prefer not to support buying leather, but with the cats, the fabric couches we can afford are just too difficult to keep clean.

I love your color scheme perrumpo. I was trying to convince the gf to paint our room in similar tones since our previous room had an accent wall with almost exact same green strip color of yours, but alas no dice.
