I don't know if they still make them, but the Altec-Lansing ATP3 2.1 Speakers are great. I have them, they are amazing... they are kind of older though... I'll try to find a newer model.

Anyway, they match perfectly. They are black, like the Dell monitor, but all the words/logo is gray, like the mac mini.

That subwoofer is so badass! My friend has a set, and it's just crazy when we turn that thing up completely.

My Mac Mini

Here is my setup. I was originally going to get an iMac G5, but instead bought this setup.

The speakers I already had. The keyboard & mouse came free with mini via macmall.com deal.

Since the mini looked like crap on a tv, I ran down to Walmart and bought their cheapest 17 inch monitor for $125. The KDS is actually very nice.

Yesterday morning I received my e-mail stating that my mini was being shipped. Today at 9:50 am there was a knock at the door . . .

Wow! My mac mini shipped on 24th feb, did not recieve an e-mail from apple to confirm this. It stayed in luxembourg for 5 days, left luxembourg on the 1st march, and thats the last I've heard of it! do they normally take this long! my powerbook didn't take this long. to make matters worst, it has to merge with iwork 05 software and then be handed over to me to TNT so they can deliver. so much for the ETA of 2nd March!!!

Well, it came the same day, It had been transfered to TNT, for delivery so should have gone to their website to look at status, not apples.

Im currently controling it with the BT keyboard and mouse and Sailingclicker on my 6600, and it all works a treat. I have also paired my JABRA 250 Bluetooth headset with my mini to use with Skype.

5.1 Audio is delbt with via the USB M-AUDIO sonica(£35 ex VAT) & extra storage via a firewire 250GB drive with anotherone on it's way :)

The keyboard works great. Just as good as Apple's. They are real cheap too.

I like to mouse because it has a scroll wheel and second button.

I think apple should really consider adding a second button on their mouse.

What is the resolution on your tv?

Have you tried isight & ichat with this setup?

The res of the TV is 1366 x 768 which is perfectly viewable from my couch. Unfortunately I dont have an eyesight(yet), but neither does anyone I know so it would be pretty pointless me getting one at the moment.

I have always been a fan of small computers. I've had a G4 Cube, Shuttle XPC and currently have a Biostar Ideq gaming pc. I hooked the Ideq upto the TV and HiFi for a couple of games of Couter Strike:Source and it was fantastic. The 5.1 sound and the picture made it so involving, you really feal like youre there.

I will always have a PC for gaming, the 6800GT in the Ideq would be impossibe to fit into the mini, and I accept it. A little more graphics power wouldnt go amiss tho ;)
