That was nice

How is it working with a computer like that

To be honest the mini is used mainly for watching DVD's (ripped and normally), DIVX and listening to MP3's. I also use it for web browsing/email, opening office docs and PDFs etc. It's not asthough I'm doing any graphics on it. For these sorts of things it's great. The screen is perfectly viewable from my couch and text is crisp and clear (1:1 pixel mapped screen).

However I do have Dreamweaver, Adobe CS, Flash and Director installed on it. If I ever want to use these I just pick the mini up, Minus the external Hard drive & Sonica, and plug it into my TFT monitor. It's not as though it's going to break my back ;)

Heres my new mini that replaces my imac g4 800
(pics are a bit rough as they were taken using my motorola v620)

Bye

Very nice and minimalistic :D

Thought I'd add mine to the growing list - I'm pretty chuffed with it (tho Visual's setup seems to be the smartest so far ;) )

Hidden behind the monitor is an aging Dell Inspiron 3800, which is also plugged into the monitor - I can switch between the two inputs easily. Only thing I have to do is take the USB hub out from the Mini and into the Dell. The two 'puters are networked through the hub on the window sill. The LG monitor by the way is wonderful - go DVI everytime!

I got the LaCie Porsche drive instead of a superdrive because it came with Toast, 1GB RAM, 160gb external HD, 40 gig 3rd ( /best ) gen. iPod....and a hottie-a-day calendar to boot :)

Nice little setup you go there :)

But there doesn't appear to be much hand room on that table. Do you just 'float' your hands over they keyboard and mouse?

Whoa, that's a really nice set up you've got there! Damn!

The keyboard and mouse are BT, I'm assuming he lays on his bed to use it.

My Mac Mini Setup

Mac Mini specs are in my signature
Using it with...

Dell 2001FP
Acoustic Energy Aego 2.1 speakers
Apple BT keyboard/mouse

It works well in this little nook I have between my kitchen and dining room. It's funny, when I show it to family and friends they all think the sub is the computer at first. I'm say "No, the computer is that small box sitting on top of a subwoofer."

My big clunky PC rig with CRT and large Swans M200 monitors is in my bedroom... out of sight!

Picked the Dell 2005 and the Mini 1.42 GHz up about 2 weeks ago. The Minis in the DVI and my old Powerbooks in the VGA, just switch back and forth. This thing is a pleasure.
