Smoothbit I was very impressed with your set-up, especially with your LEGO Bonsai Tree. After thinking about it's possible calming effect, I was motivated to order one myself! Will post next week.
It doesn’t provide the same long-term satisfaction that caring for a real plant does, but on the other hand it does come with 100 pink frogs for the spring time ?

What monitors / resolutions you got going on there...?

Cables could be better managed, but that UPS looks to be a toe killer...!
I'm not finished yet. I have a cable management organizer I will put on on the underneath side of the desk. The desk is an Ikea 98" Karlby countertop. The main monitor is a Samsung 43" M7 4k monitor, side monitors are from work and are Dell 24" 1080 monitors. Setup also has my work laptop hidden behind the printer. Microphone is a Blue Yeti. Have on old Beats Pill+ for sound until I find better speakers. Webcam is a Logitech 1080p from work. Trying to decide if I want to use my go pro 9 as a webcam or use a 4k Logitech webcam. I'm using a 2020 16gb Mac Mini M1 with I think is a Satechi hub underneath.

Please make sure to update the thread when Spring comes around & you put those frogs into play...!

How are the displays with text clarity & all that jazz, being lower DPI panels (43" 4K = 103ppi / 24" HD = 92ppi); I am looking to hook up my 31.5" 2560x1440 (93ppi) & 27" 1920x1080 (82ppi) displays to the new Mac mini (see sig) I am waiting on Apple to release...

Worst case, I swap my two monitors to my son for his 32" 4K Samsung (138ppi) and await the new Apple-branded displays...! ;^p

I love it. For word and adobe documents I use the two panels on the side. I need the screen real estate for work programs. I need to have multiple programs including Teams, Outlook open at the same time.

But how is the text clarity and all that, what with the lower PPI...?

Finally decided it was way too much hassle to dongle the m1 with the 30"ACD... It (the ACD) was simply plug & play with my Win10 build.

Refurb base m1 > LG 32" QHD > Samsung sound bar w/sub. Into this system for light dough and it certainly meets and exceeds my needs. IMHO Apple knocked it outta the park with this mini...

I was about to type M1 what(?) then I noticed the Mac Mini there under the G4 Cube.
Interestingly curious, is the G4 Cube’s base dimensions exactly or very close to the Mac Mini?

Not quite exactly but very, very close. It appears the mini platform may be less than
1 mm larger than the base of the Cube.

Mac mini:
  • 1.4" x 7.7" x 7.7"
  • H x W x D
G4 Cube:
  • 9.8" x 7.7" x 7.7"
  • H x W x D
The G4 Cube is seven Mac minis tall...! ;^p
