Have you tried using the iPad/Luna as a workspace rather than for tools? If so, is it responsive enough as a workspace? Also, if I can ask, which iPad are you using?
I’m using a 2018 9.7” iPad. As for using it as a workspace, the screen is just too small. I can write a book on it, but any photo manipulation or formatting needs more screen-estate.

Thanks. It was the 32-inch Samsung 4K I was interested in. So even better. I thought from the photo your’s was the 28-inch. I don’t do video or photo work. Mainly text and PDFs side by side. More screen space would be useful. Currently have a 27-inch matt TN display, which is a a delight on the eyes.

Main question is how do you find reading and working with text on it? I find the 5k iMac screen too glossy with too much glare. And how are the menus /UI for size are they scaled down and super small or a decent size. I can’t picture what it would all look like on a 32-inch display. If you have a photo of a word doc and PDF side by side, and it’s not too much trouble, would love to see it.

Finally, I’m not going to get an eGPU, how is the mini handling one 4K screen without it. I tested the mini with the 5K LG screen in store and it seemed very laggy, even just resizing windows and scrolling.

Cheers - and lovely car.

They're lovely to work on, lots of realestate.. Get one ordered, you won't be dissapointed.

Here’s my Mac Mini Plex Server it’s the base model

Which logitech microphone do you use?

Anyone able to put a monitor on top of a Mac mini? Is that ok? I have a Dell 2415Q and think it would look cleaner if this is ok...?

It weighs just under 12 pounds. I don't think I would do that on a new Mini, stacking a few portable drives is one thing but a 12 pound monitor could be different results.

I have had my Acer 25” 1440p monitor on top of my 2012 mini since I bought the monitor.

That looks good-and saves space. Can’t imagine those older monitors were any lighter then the ones today so I guess I should be fine. Besides I don’t think it obstructs the fan from
The top...

I still much prefer my setup... my new 4K LG monitor is mounted on an under-counter VESA mount and my Mac Mini is standing against the wall behind it... no weight on the Mini, and the monitor is at the perfect height for my work...and I've only lost about 4" of my desk space with this configuration.

BTW, the angle in this photo is grossly distorted to show the under the counter mount... when workin, my line of sight has the top of the monitor perfectly aligned with the bottom of the overhead cabinet.
