Not bad for a 17 year old eh? ;)

Not much as a past as I've been using Windows the past year, before which was a Macbook Pro.

But I've fallen again for the Apple temptation.

Just got a 40" Samsung 1080p and a Samsung Blu-Ray player, but the rents want to take back the blu-ray player and get a PS3. But quick question, Anyone have any good suggestions for settings so i can use this as a monitor also. I downloaded SwitchResX, I mirror the displays and the only way i get the monitor to display the menu bar also is with 1024 x 768 (stretched) settings but then my macbook screen gets somewhat blurry and not as crisp. Any suggested settings on how to eliminate it from doing it to my Mac?

Leave your Mac as it is, and use the television remote to change the aspect ratio of the input so that everything is displayed? Because you've chosen to mirror the display, you're either going to have one or the other that looks a bit sub-par.

well here's my setup it includes 3 Mac minis, an eMac G4, a Power Mac G4, a White polycarbonate MacBook, which i now no longer have room for and my latest purchase my 2.53Ghz 13'' MacBook Pro with 8GB RAM. I also have an iPhone 3G, Magic Mouse, Samsung 22'' Display, and 3rd Gen iPod Touch and a 500GB Iomega external hard drive.

When its my 17th B-day next year I was considering buying something rather extravagant, I.E a Mac Pro, however I'm not too sure.

PS The mac mini below the MacBook pro is my media centre running plex and i have all of my movies & Top Gear episodes on it, its an amazing little machine.

Nice what do you think of your WD passport? i got mine last night and love it!

I love it; the form factor is very nice and tiny. This was an upgrade from my previous 120GB Western Digital Passport. That thing was super old and bulky, but it hung in there. I re-gifted it to my little brother and put about 25 Wii Games on there for his Wii that I hacked over Thanksgiving :p.

This was my old drive... SO ghetto.

That setup is insane for a 16 year old! Im 17 and I have a 13" 2.26 MBP. I also have the same 22" Sammy as you, and I also have a third Dell 23" Pro monitor that I got today! Running triple monitors with my MBP! I just have to wait for the adapter for my third monitor.

You should really be extremely happy with everything you have!

Why not get rid of everything except the mbp and buy a used mac pro?

Because I need everything LOL I collect vintage Macs, I am at some point going to expand it into our extension on our house when we get it built in the next 12-18 months or so, selling every single item in my setup, I would be able to buy a brand new Mac Pro with a 30'' Cinema display lol, but i;d rather have a lot of computers than just one main one.
