Thats right, I'm using the X-LINK from Sparkle with beta snow leopard drivers, still a bit buggy at times, doesn't seem to hold screen calibrations properly when rebooting. The other 19" screen is connected to the iMac using a DVI adapter.

the resolutions in portrait mode are 1440x900 60hz refresh, the iMac is a 20" version.

I noticed your unique skin goes all the way to the edges, I have seen a ton of youtube video installs and they don't. I'm confused. I want one for my 13" uMBP but I'm not going to get one if it doesn't go to the edges.

Small update:

Rich parents, good job or both? I didn't see a that much expensive student setup in a while.
No offense, it's great!

i'd say a bit of both!

my parents are more than fair, whatever i want i pay half and they pay half (within reason).

this summer i worked for about 5 weeks to buy a macbook pro for myself as my sister stole my alu macbook - will be ordering it at the end of the month when i get my paycheck! can't wait!

bummed that i missed out on the free ipod touch for students!

Isn't the display on the right faulty?

yes it is!

it has 1 blue vertical line and one white horizontal line.

but for £59 it was a steal!

the lines also sometimes disappear.

i think it is a loose connection or something because it you gently touch the screen, the lines disappear.

Ahhh, Seinfeld. My kinda guy. haha. I quote Seinfeld on a daily basis. I have all 9 seasons on DVD and watch them all the time. TV on DVD has replaced cable for me. :p

it is a project from a few years ago i did because my macbook pro kept overheating and i wanted to check at what temp the fans were kicking in.

the LCD is based on this guide http://www.bytecellar.com/archives/000081.php

And yes the ikea dioder lights are RGB - pretty cool as they fade between about 7 colours as well as being static.

I also bought a 5m led strip to run underneath my bed room cupboards - together they look pretty decent!

Time to get back to school work <_<

Same shots, different angles and lighting. I think I'm going to do some rearranging and cable management later so I'll repost!

edit: I just realized in the second picture my background is in the process of changing from the plain burton wallpaper to one of the mountain shots, it looks pretty awesome. I love the changing wallpaper every 5 seconds, I have about 30 wallpapers (mostly snowboarding)

edit 2:
Nice setup but change your pictures to timg so they aren't so big
forgot these forums had the timg tags -_-
