How hot does your mbp run? Does it have the proper air flow with the screen closed? I'm thinking about buying one of those but i'm afraid of burning up my computer because I use a lot of heavy processing apps.

it runs just fine. it is very quiet. i use a lot of audio plugins with logic running simultaneously.

Thanx!

Desk is from Office Depot and the speaker stands are "Wood Technology" Model # FGH-8 I believe.

You can get the stands a number of places including amazon.

Here's my setup as of today, the monitor is shared with my PowerMac and my MacBook,it has VGA and DVI,The DVI will go to my MB as soon as I get the connector back from a friend for VGA to ADC.It works well, and I'm rarely at my desk with my MB anyways.

i had the MG30 back in the day, major let down, i sold it for £50 and bought myself a Laney solid state instead. i'm waiting till i get back into playing until i get my first tube amp, that will be a special day haha

Well mine has lasted me well over the years. Would also love to get a tube amp some time soon, although my neighbours would probably hate me for it:rolleyes:

Thats a nice chair, what kind or brand is it? How's the confines and durability on it:D

Picked it up from john lewis about 6 months ago. It is very comfortable, especially as it has very padded armrests, and the leather is particularly soft.

It is also pretty durable, It gets plenty of action every day and is still very comfortable.

ah a fellow 23'er :)

literally the best monitor I have ever used. I really like the dpi as well very comfortable for long periods and big enough to do all my photoshop and indesign work.

Saying that I should post mine..after I finish this work and get back from Paris!

The dpi is indeed incredible. Never have I used such a comfortable monitor (it did take a couple of weeks for my eyes to get used to the size of it at first though :))

Looks like the mini evil decepticon from the first Transformers movie by Michael Bay (the one that looks like a CD/Radio player before transforming).

My thoughts exactly!

I just finished setting up my new workspace. Same place, different space. Kinda.

The G4 is unplugged and not currently in use, only when I have to use the Mbox. The macbook is what's currently powering the hannsg hi221 22 inch monitor, and you'll notice the wired mighty mouse, full length keyboard, creative speakers, WD my book essential, crappy lexmark all in one, a usb hub, a 7up, and a shedload of wires. I hate wires.

Very nice,a lot like my setup,i would keep the PowerMac plugged in though,it's great for when you need a basic facebook and yahoo messenger machine when the MacBook is working a heavy load. :) (That's what I use mine for anyways,I'm also running Tiger and Lepard on 2 seperate HD's too.)(My MacBook gets over worked easily with only 2GB of ram.) :D

Well I deleted my Facebook, and although my MB does get pretty steamed up when using Photoshop and Illustrator I trust 4GB could handle a little Adium window in the bottom left corner ;) And if I were to use the G4 then I would have to use the 13inch screen on the Macbook rather than the 22inch which makes it much more difficult to do graphics work...

Looking back, I see our setups are very similar. Your monitor is a similar size to the Laptop screen though, so the difference for you would be little :) I have a couple of old keyboards just like those too :D it's uncanny!
