My new setup. Sorry for the low quality. When I get my new phone I'll post more.

@rk1991: Photoshop CS4
@Jason Beck: Photoshop + Wacom = Heaven
@Vitr: I got the clock at a bookstore called Indigo of all places. Knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it.
@pudrums: They are Audioengine A2s. I also have their big brother the A5s on my music setup. They sound amazing. Worth every penny.
@fedex1993: The "knob thing" is an Apogee Duet. It doesn't make a huge difference to the sound coming out of the A2s but makes a HUGE difference when I plug in either my Grado 325i or Sennheiser HD600 headphones. I move it back and forth between my 2 setups as needed.

Yah! It's the only thing I have left to buy to get my career started! So far I have:

Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium CS4 (I absolutely love it.)
Canon Rebel XS DSLR camera/tripod
23" 1080p Monitor
Magic Mouse (been using this until I get a wacom tablet, the MMouse really does good in design for me)
And of course my Macbook / SSD drive.

I've been doing a little freelance and getting into some freelance photography and I really need a tablet soon. : ) I'm jealous, yours is nice dude. When my dslr is paid off I will get me one. :D

@manowar: The webcam is an Apple iSight. They stopped making them years ago. Not sure why.

@Jason Beck: I do graphic design and freelance photography as well. I have a Nikon D700 with a bunch of lenses. The pic was taken with my favourite lens of all, a Zeiss ZF2 35mm f2. Good luck with your career and remember... never do spec work! :)

Because the iSight has terrible image quality.

Sorry for the crappy picture, took it with my droid :rolleyes:. Still needing to get a keyboard though and find a way to manage the cables.

Aren't all the built-in webcams in current Macs/monitors basically a miniaturized iSight? I don't think we've upgraded from the 1.3 MP or whatever sensor.

[Edit] Ah wait, never mind. The iSight was basically a VGA camera. Why the hell did they need FireWire and $150 for that? :rolleyes: Then again, the built-in webcams on Macs currently are terrible still.

Nice. Yah I am just getting into it. I found that being a photographer and a designer has its plusses. You can take your own stock for one and get whatever size/quality you want rather than searching for royalty free crap. My degree is mainly design related but I have been scouring the Internet learning all the things that used to be so cryptic to me. Like, aperture, ISO, etc. Every day I learn something new. Lens/filter collecting is fun! :D

I've never been blown away by the iSights image quality but I've had it for years so I just keep using it. Does anyone have suggestions for a camera that would be significantly better?

If it's a video chatting camera theres no point upgrading until mac gets hd video conferencing mainstream. The isight was a CCD camera with a big sensor so you could chat in low light.
