I definitely need a bigger desk...

Anyway, this is my early 2008 2.4Ghz Macbook along with my Apogee Duet, KRK RP6's and WD external hard drive. Just got the KRKs, absolutely loving them so far. So nice, can't wait to tackle some mixes with them.

Updated, new Magic Trackpad. I'm liking it a lot more than the Magic Mouse so far. Sorry about the picture quality, took it with my 3GS.

I'm liking the trackpad, but I don't know if I'd get one. It's a step back from a mouse IMHO, something you're forced to settle for when you buy a laptop. Maybe it's because I love all the buttons I get on my MX Revolution, which gestures just can't replace (all right, they can, but I find it easier to press a button that my fingers fall naturally on than to perform a gesture). I'll be going to the Apple Store next week to try it out though, I've got a bit of catching up to do (I have yet to see the new Mac Mini in person ). Glad you like it :D

What are you using to connect the monitors to your computer?

Haha thanks. Just a normal 16gb wifi. I mainly use it for email in the office, and for client mockups and notes in meetings. Nothing crazy :)

Amazing!

How do you like those monitors?

I actually really enjoy the monitors. I have to compensate for color and contrast when do some intense color correction but it's really no big deal. I know there is all this hubbub about the glossiness but the things get so bright I've never really had to compete much with the window light.

My jaw is on the floor, this may have just become one of my favorite setups on these forums.

WOW! Thanks a ton for the complement! Any suggestions that you would add?

That's good to hear! I'm tempted to pick up a 27" when they are available. Although I'm not thrilled about having to replace my video card do to it.

Also happened to take a look at some of your video work, extremely impressive! I hope you are making a lot of money with your talent. :)

What kind of a software setup are you running for your content creation?

Thanks cybercat, I very much appreciate it. I am currently running:

Final Cut Studio 3
Adobe Master Collection CS5 (every plugin known to man)
Cinema 4D

Just got done editing a film starring Michael Welch (Mike Newton from the Twilight Saga), David Keith (Officer and a Gentleman) and Sarah Habel (Drew Berrymore's Whip It!).

incredible setup. so the MagicPad has completely replaced your need for a mouse?! when you leave the cursor, say, towards the bottom right hand corner, and put your finger up the top left hand corner, will the mouse jump straight there? or does it mirror the use of an actual trackpad?

also, that cinema display looks mighty square :(

loving the setup though :)

It doesn't do what you're asking. That would be a pretty cool feature though.

With the Duet, it has stereo 1/4" outs, and a couple shielded 1/4" cables. Though the monitors also have XLR and RCA inputs, so you aren't limited to one option which is nice.
