Finally got an iMac (for a month now).

Some old pictures, because I have my Bose speakers replaced by some nice AudioEngine A2's & iPhone 3G by a iPhone 4. I will make some new pictures soon.

img0025sl.jpg

So from left to right:
A tarp I bought at a local place around campus
A griffin dock for my ipod video 30gb (classic) and an iphone 4 (not pictured)
Bose Companion 5 Speakers (best speakers evar!!)
Apple wired keyboard
HP 23inch monitor (great for college as a productivity tool and for xbox)
A Razer alumumnium mousepad
A logitech vx nano
iPad with bluetooth wireless keyboard for email
A lamp I got from target
Beats by Dr. Dre (IMO best investment for college for the noise cancellation)
The pictures to the right are vintage japanese ads used on the subway (I just thought they were so great)
Above the whole set up is an authentic silk tapestry of Buddha which my parents got for me in Bhuan (so thankful for that)
And what powers it all is a Black Macbook i've had for about 2 years thats still pulling strong!

Its a black macbook i got 2 years ago! I still love that thing to death!

Yeah. Those things are classic. My *stupid* friend bought one on craigslist. Sold it, and bought a 2009 unibody white macbook. I told him that he was stupid to do that, because it will be a classic in the future.

haha well not gonna lie, I was thinking about selling it to get a more powerful machine...I really want a unibody macbook pro but this computer handles all i need for school so i'm holding off, but yea hopefully i'll be able to keep this one for a while then sell it when its "vintage" haha

Funny enough, I can't wait to upgrade my 2007 MBP to a unibody (next summer). It's sitting here attached to another monitor, with its display open, running only FireFox, iTunes, iChat and a YouTube downloader (that isn't doing anything atm), and it's at 153ºF with the fans spinning at 4k RPM. No idea why. Just connected the notebook cooler, and now the fans are down to 2500 RPM, but the temps are up to 158º. Drives me mad! Other than that, it's a good machine. I'm going to miss having a true matte display, but I won't miss having a battery that lasts for a whole 15 minutes of usage

Hi,

I recently move to the Mac platform and here is my before and after setup.

So far I am enjoying my Mac experience. For sure I am not missing all the cables.

Still have the laptop for work :)

Thanks !

You are kidding, right? Did you see the signature in the post just above yours?

Look at this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/932922/ ... it is one of my threads that I made when I first got my MBP, and didnt know what to do with my MB... So, i reapplied thermal paste :p
