First-time Mac user. Here's my set-up, very simple. The receptacle is surge protected.

The desk is a custom-made replica of a 1950 Paul McCobb desk. The chair is a 1970s Knoll.

That is one sweet looking desk. I have an older desk sitting in my basement which has very similar lines, however, it's been coated a few times in various sad colors of paint.

Very nice set up. Looks very clean, sleak, and simple.

Don't want to put you on the spot… but that's why glossy screens aren't as good a matte ones. :p

This is my setup, nothing to fancy. I enjoy it and it gets the job done :D. 2.4 Ghz Macbook Pro Unibody Late 2008, 24" Cinema Display, Apple Wireless Keyboard, Logitech Performance MX mouse, iPhone 4 32Gb

What desk is that?

Argh Guys your rumbled me, I'm the CEO of Samsung, just trying to make some more sales

And I'll make sure I do all the research into everything in my post before I post it. I've let you down, and myself.

I've seen 6 bit TN LCDs that were advertised as having some kind of ridiculous contrast ratio like that.

How can an LCD have a higher contrast ratio than the number of colors it can display? That's about the point when my ************* meter kicks in. :D

Seriously though, there should be a law against 6 bit panels being 1500nits brightness with a 6000:1 contrast ratio. *shudder*

A very interesting article on Monitors/TVs:

Tempted to get rid of my duel set-up after this thread and get a nice gloss 24" single monitor?
