I like how the russian dude has his outlets so high off the ground hehe. That looks useful (maybe ugly, but useful!)

A lot of countries (especially in Asia) have their wall plugs up there.
Those are one hell of an outlet though XD.

Hey, I see you have the B&W MM-1s - I own these too and was wondering, how are you finding them?

The more I listen to them, the more I like them. I've only had them for a few weeks and I think they're starting to break-in.

A few things I've noticed:

1. If your using iTunes and the USB connection, I would turn the iTunes equalizer off. It tends to distort the sound quite a bit.
2. As I mentioned above, there seems to be some break-in and they do sound better with time.
3. Play with there spacing on your desk to find the sweetspot.
4. These speakers love 320 kps bitrate songs.

Really the only thing I'm not crazy about (which is minor) is they don't turn on and off with the computer. It is kind of a hassle.

What are your thoughts?

My humble little setup...until the new Sandybridge imacs arrive anyway:rolleyes: Couldn't help posting because my Embody chair was delivered today. I find myself going and sitting in it for no reason whatsoever.

Fyi got the chair covered as an expense, I definitely couldn't afford the chair if I was paying out of pocket (notice the ikea desk and lamp lol).

Yeah, I also noticed they took a while to 'break in' - though some people swear black and blue there's no such thing (I'm not one of them).

I too have noticed they don't like any mucking around with EQs and such - and they REALLY show up poor quality music on iTunes. They've made me look for high bit-rate songs - only burn CDs in Apple Lossless now and I've been purchasing more and more tunes from HD Tracks on-line. Wish there was a way to download better quality music from iTunes store, but there doesn't seem to be.

I've messed around with positioning also, definitely pays to experiment.

I've really had to re-teach my ears with these speakers as I was so used to my 2.1 setup from Altec (excellent base and all-round 'musicality', but the B&Ws are so much more detailed and what I call 'sweet') - but definitely digging the MM-1s now (had mine for about 4 mths).

As for powering them down, I quite like that they're always on.

King of chairs right there IMO. Thanks for posting pics. I want one even more now, which I didn't think was possible lol.

@Ninjasrule I believe it ships assembled regardless of vendor.

Cynical much? It's an extremely comfy chair and great for reducing back problems - I can see why people (including myself) would want such a chair. It's like spending money on .... beds. You can technically get by with a mat on the floor but would that really be what you want? :p

I need to get a new chair mine tilts to the left slightly... a herman miller would be great but I just don't know if I can justify it...

I remember a few years back there was a second hand chair seller down Brick lane near the Old Truman Brewery but I am not sure if he is still there... he has Herman Millers in stock back then at 250 Each.

Working on a new setup. So far just got the desk and the griffin elevator stand for the macbook. Got the monitor and new speakers coming sometime this week. Then a little after that a stand for the iPad.

Old setup.

How many hours a week do you sit at the computer? If it's a lot (like me) - you can justify the chair. If you can get a Herman Miller for 250 or 300, it's a no-brainer
