Replaced my aging Macbook Pro with a 2011 27" iMac. I'm trying to get some use out of the 21.5" Dell LCD that I used with the MBP by setting it up vertically (no room for horizontal anymore).

Did a little rearranging over the past half year.

At night, the projector gives me a screening room :)

Queering my MacBook

Hey everyone! First post here. This thread intrigues and delights me. :)

I recently graduated to my first Mac, after being a long-time Ubuntu lover, and I couldn't be happier. It's all that same power under the hood without half the hassle, and it took me THREE WEEKS before I had to reboot this baby.

I have a 13" 2011 MBP, with a purple satin Speck hardcover and a Moshi keyguard I jazzed up a little with some sharpies. Enjoy. ;)

Just got finished rearranging my room for this setup. I love it and having the Mac on the desk is nice for a change. Excuse the bad picture quality, the camera on my phone isn't very good.

Thanks for that. I actually wanted to see the image projecting surface with the projector on.

Ah, all right. The opposite wall is basically entirely blank except for a rack of clothing. The image thrown on the wall is a little over 70". I'll get a pic of it tonight if you want to see it

Welcome to the Mac side. I like the "jazzed up" keyguard it reminds me of stained glass. :)

I dig the keyboard.

Where did you use the sharpie on the keyboard?

I would like to do something like this, but I wouldn't want it to be permanent.

Post pictures of your iMac setup

I am curious as to how everyone has their investment secured and the way in which they enjoy it.

I am a little concerned with the desk that my 27" is currently residing on. The desk is metal and glass and is very wobbly even during moderate typing, such as composing this post. As a result, I am looking for a new desk. In the meantime I thought it would be fun to see what everyone else has to support their all-in-ones.

Please post your pics, and (if you can), give details about your setup such as desk and any kind of wire management system or custom hacks you have.

I have a sturdy L shaped desk that my old 24" sits on. When I get a new 27" this summer, I am going to wall mount it on a swing arm.
