I already sold my MacBook Air. The other Macs do not work with the Thunderbolt Display. And from sept-jan I'm going to Madrid for my study, so I need a MacBook anyways (reason: 11" is too small for Madrid as my only computer/screen). That said, I'm no heavy user by any means, so this will do. Thinner, well okay. Ethernet, I want that. I need the optical drive bay because I use it for an second HDD. IF it were to be removed, it would be a rather sad thing.
And with warranty till 2015, I'm more than satisfied with this workbeast.
^ This is beautiful. I love the desk and TV stand. I love it. How big is your TV? I had my room set up similar when I was in college with my iMac.
Rearranged my desk and TV unit, cleaned up the wires and cables at the back using a Belkin Concealed.
AmbientEleven - any details on the furniture? Looks very similar to what I am wanting to do in my bedroom.

I just ordered a geek desk. I'll be sure to post pics of my setup on it. I LOVE my current galant desk but sitting all day is killing my back since I sit all day at work unless I have to go tinker in the server room.
Sure thing, the desk is the IKEA BESTÅ, the TV stand is the Sona AVCR42, which I got from Costco, and the chair is from Staples but I don't have the model unfortunately as it was priced up wrong, I got it half price but without a box, hope this helps!
finally back in the states and the rest of my stuff should be here by the end of next week. includes a mac mini, 3TB G-Drive, Multiple Headphones & Amps, Trackpad, Apple BT Keyboard, Razer Goliathus Mousepad, and I just ordered a 27" TB Display. So Excited!
...also, those ugly blinds will be replaced with wooden ones the same color of my desk as well as some artwork for the walls and a floor standing lamp to lessen the shadows.
I see nice setup out there.

I'm pretty sure it's either a ZR2240 or ZR2440 on the right, I'm just curious of how he likes it. I'm sure a mac is connected to them.
Got some Mini DisplayPot Adapters yesterday so I thought it'd be nice to create a dual-display setup.
This old display was just collecting dust on the attic anyway - I have to say it works pretty neat!
In a few months I'll be buying a bigger and better display (poor student, haha), but I've got some other priorities right now which you'll be seeing pretty soon.

Temporary setup in my grandmother's Flushing, NY apartment:
The MBP will be replaced shortly after the new ones come out. I will be getting it in Delaware as I can't fathom paying NYC sales tax for such an expensive item especially since I'm from VA where sales tax is a bit lower.

How do you like the Hoverbar? Can you place the iPad closer to the display in order to have a smaller gap between the two.
