NutsNGum, loving the TwelveSouth Hoverbar !!

Sweet setup man :)

Thanks man!

How do you like the Hoverbar? Can you place the iPad closer to the display in order to have a smaller gap between the two.

The HoverBar is great! It's really versatile, you can position it pretty much anyway you want, I had it a lot closer to the monitor before but I was struggling to read the PDFs I had on it, so I moved it closer to me. Frees up a whole lot of desk space also, so well worth it.

In Chicago, before I moved:

Moving into a new place here in Seattle at the end of the month. Will be similar but may do something new.

Nice loving everything in this setup. Which iPhone dock is that? What are the other gadgets?

Thanks I didn't think the simplifi dock supported the newer iPhones.

Yep it does. I have a 4s and it works just fine. They have adapters that are included in the package that adapt to different devices. I've had my simplifi dock for a few years now, since whenever the 3Gs was the newest phone.

Dock: Griffin Simplifi

Circular Power Thing: Coalesse Power Pod

Monitor Stand: Just Mobile Mtable

Laptop Stand: Rain mStand

Under the mStand, with Drawer: Just Mobile Drawer

Headphone Amp: Woo Audio WA6

Headphone Stand: http://www.wooaudio.com/products/wahps2.html

Hard Drive: GDrive Mini

Headphones: AKG K701

The Just Mobile products are nice but pricey. The Power Pod is also pricey, but I wanted power on my desk and I wanted it to look good.

Love the set-up! can you give a link to the background please?
and what headphones are those?

Thanks

What an amazing series of threads. Looking through these I have become inspired to sort out my office space. I've never really cared about cables and so forth before.

I've started with my London office where I normally spend Monday to Wednesday. Please excuse the poor quality photos. I'll strive to post something better when it's complete.

This is my new desk (BDI Sequel 6003)

I am still deciding what to do with the monitor situation since it all depends on whether there is 2012 Mac Pro or not so currently I am only using a Dell U2412M

This is what I've done with the cabling (you can also see the space I've set aside for the Mac Pro :) )

This is the view the keeps me inspired (or something)

Unfortunately I do need to relax so I've a Sony HX853 and a handy couch.

Another closer look at the cable management. The rest of the cables are neatly hidden behind the desk panel that is held in place with magnets

IMG_0357.jpg

The desk is quite nice. It has this drawer with cable management and it's where you're supposed to put the keyboard, but I don't use it like this. I prefer having the keyboard on the desk itself.

This is the other wall opposite the desk where I come some odd things and memorabilia.

IMG_0369.jpg

On the left side of the TV unit I have an Xbox 360 and a Sony Blu Ray player

IMG_0372.jpg

Some bits and bobs in the middle of the TV unit

IMG_0373.jpg

On the left side I have a Synology DS1511+, but the photos didn't come very well because it's dark in there.

I also got myself a hover bar for the iPad (you can just see it in this rubbish photo :) )

IMG_0375.jpg

I'll post pictures of my other home office tomorrow, but it's nothing amazing since we're waiting to move.

That cable management is great...

Really? It didn't work with my brother's 4th-gen iPod Touch, and considering the list of "supported products" stopped after something like the iPhone 3G, I assumed it wouldn't work with all iDevices >2008 or so.

So here is my other, temporary set up. As you can see I didn't bother doing much with the cables.

It's a 2011 Mini Server and a 2009 13" MBP.

Here's my set-up:

My set-up:

Mac Mini (2011)
Macbook Pro 13" (late 2011)
Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display
iPhone 3GS (16GB)
iPod Touch (64GB)
iPad 1 (16GB)
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Apple Wireless Mouse
Apple Magic Mouse

Off camera there's a few Windows laptops, which I haven't included in a Mac set-up xD

Thoughts on my set-up? How could I improve it?

Thanks! ^_^
