I also have a bit of a home theater setup in there, Pioneer head unit, sherwood speakers. Great for everything, LOVE listening to music on it. I don't currently have a way to attach the MBP to it, I'd like to find a USB sound card with optical out that'll work with the Mac.

Just in case you wernt aware, the Macbook Pro already has an optical out via the headphone socket.

Nice setup BTW!

Well, I'm a back-in-the-day Mac user. My last mac ran OS 8 when I got it, upgraded it to OS 9. It was a Power Computing Power Tower Pro (those oddball ones where Apple did license Mac OS on third party computers for a short while) Also had various performas, PowerMacs, etc....

You can use one of these

To get optical out from your MBP's headphone port. And to use the 23 inch monitor with your mbp at the same time as the acd maybe you can hook up a USB to dvi? It will have some delay but its good enough for text and desktop work just not movies and games.

Been an awesome Christmas.

Although, I already got my main present my iMac a couple of weeks back, it was still nice to open all the little stocking fillers. Like my Holga Lens, Bob Dylan vinyls, Bob Dylan concert posters & Book, iPhone/iPod battery booster and money :D

How do you find the depth of that desk with the 27" iMac?

Thanks! I'm actually using Air Display, which works pretty well. It requires the windows PC to be on and drive the display, but that's not a big deal at all, it's always on anyway. The MacBook actually driving both displays would be nicer, but, probably not possible (not with THESE displays anyway)

Well, it is personal preference but I enjoy being close to the screen for graphical work. My eyesight is fine (for now, lol) but like I said it is just what I prefer. I also live in a one bedroom city apartment so space is a big consideration for me when choosing furniture.
