Done with my new office.

So very jealous of your desk. I saw a while back in this thread that you got it from a Dutch website.

It is EXACTLY what I want. I have been thinking about paying a woodworker in my area to make it for me.

That or something like this:

Or this (just the top, not the legs)

I am not sure what it's called when you have the varying colored woods.

thanks! i did quite some searching to get just what i wanted :D

table top:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50121453/ (their website isn't updated, but this name/product is discontinued. the new name is LINNMON, and it's identical to the this table top. that's the one I had bought. you'd have to ask someone at ikea about it.)

leg with shelves:

rest of the legs:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70217973/

legs on top of the desk:

shelf on top of the desk:

you're welcome :D

I have updated my setup. Got a new desk from Ikea.
iMac late 2012, Macbook Pro mid 2012, iPhone 5 (taking the picture), 42" LG that serves as a tv and dual monitor for both my MBP and iMac. Trying to figure out the best cable management coming out of my tv.

IMHO you need to just bite the bullet and run them through the wall. Anything else just won't look as clean (even an externally-mounted wall-colored conduit).

I live in an apartment so creating a big hole isn't quite in my lease unfortunately. I really really wish I could though it would make it incredibly clean.

Really like the work area around your iMac!

Thanks a lot! I like minimal stuff with lots of sticky notes! I think I have a small obsession with them. Maybe it's due to the show Dead Like Me that was rubbing off on me. :)

how about one of these ways? either the pink path or the blue path.

with the pink, you could tape it or whatever onto the wall behind your postit board, and then straight down to behind your desk.

with the black, just cable tie them all together so it's just one line of cables and straight down to behind the red desk.

But they let you wall mount the TV?

You don't need to cut a huge hole, just two of these will do:

You can remove them and spackle over the holes when you move out. Or if that's too much, just poke a couple small holes through the wallboard and use fish tape to fish it through. No need for a fancy cover.

Just a suggestion :)

Love the organization, the holders for your pens and such, is that a set? Where did you buy it from?

Thanks! I like keeping everything in place. I got the pen holders from Ikea a few years ago. They were separate pieces, and you can place as many or few as you like onto the strip on the wall. I think they were actually in the kitchen section, but look pretty well integrated in my study as well.
