Question for those that have the Galant desk from Ikea: how well do they move? I will likely be moving soon and am kind of leery of disassembling the desk that I have recently purchased, but it will be moving with me...

Looks great! Does it bother you having that center support and not being able to pull in your chair?

I usually sit with my legs up and crossed anyway lol if they are down then theres enough space for my legs as the chair isnt that close to the desk (chair stays in the same place all the time anyway) plus I dont want to be too close with a big 27" just inches from me :)

I would feel more comfortable disassembling and reassembling a Galant desk than any other Ikea or similar desks. With many desks in this price range and cheaper the scews go directly into the wood, removing and reinserting those kind of screws would cause wear on the wood and a weaker connection. The Galant has threads inlayed in the wood for the screws that should be able to handle the screws being removed and reinserted much better.

Looks like a 1:18 scale 2004-2008 Acura TL.

You got it. It's a diecast. Forgot the scale as I have had it a long time but it was special order and all the doors open, hood, trunk, sunroof opens. All the components look exactly like the real one which I had. It was like $60 bucks or so back then.

My current setup. Monitor is a dell S2240L and MacBook Pro specs are in my sig. Hoping to move to a dual monitor setup in the summer along with a fully-speced Mac mini for some video editing. :D Speakers are hooked up under the desk to an Airport Express for AirPlay from the MacBook (plus it's one less cable on the desk, I'm a bit of a minimalist)!

Here is my extremely temporary setup hence the lack of cable management. I am moving house soon so that mean new desk, new setup and some cable management :)

Anyway. In this picture, there is:
An iPhone 3GS
An iPhone 4
A ZTE Skate
A Hanns.G HH251 25" 1080p monitor
An LG 22" Tv (used only as a second monitor, i have a 32" tv beside my desk)
An iPad Mini 16GB Wifi
Creative 5.1 Speakers
An Xbox 360
Remote for LED Lights
My Mac Mini replacement Hackintosh. (just off camera, below xbox)
An Apple Wireless Keyboard
A Logitech G5 Gaming mouse (Magic mouse stopped working)

The specs of the hackintosh are as follows:
Intel Core i3 3.3Ghz
8GB 1600Mhz Ram
500GB HDD
250GB HDD
nVidia GT520 1GB Graphics Card
D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth
500w PSU
Xigmatek White Knight "Special Edition" Case

Anyone got any good desk recommendations? Would be greatly appreciated :p

That would be the discontinued Dordoni worktop table by Design within reach.

Hm, I own the Dordoni table, and while you are right that it is discontinued, that table looks nothing like mine. I believe the Dordoni was made in two sizes over the year; I have a 72" one with 4 drawer slots and room for posters on each edge. I believe they all had aluminum legs, as well.

I don't know what this table is, but I don't think it's a Dordoni design (I could be wrong :) ).

It does look a bit like this Williams Sonoma design (3 drawers, saw horse legs):

Here's a decent pic of the Dordoni that I think you're referring to:

There's a bunch of saw horse desks on Houzz. You might try asking there:
