Clock

It's a George Nelson wooden starburst clock. Best clock I own.

Sorry, but that's not a George Nelson. It's inspired by George Nelson, but not an authentic version. I love the Eames chairs though, especially the vintage 4-star base!

Spent the past weekend moving my desk and changing some stuff around..

A quick (and bad) pic of how it was last friday..

(MBP usually lies in between the Airport Express and the Pioneer receiver, but it was still in the living room when I took the picture.)

And 2 work in progress pics of how it's looking today:

Still needs some changes as I'm not entirely happy with the setup now. I'll update in a few days with the final version. ;)

Here is mine:
Please excuse the lighting, angle, and the lack of cleanliness. I think everything is too dark....any good lamp recommendations? Also, you think laying the MyBook on it's side would ruin it in the long run? I've almost knocked it down multiple times (and no the corona bottle doesn't always rest there).

Probably not. The drives can handle spinning in either orientation. Heat build up should also not be a problem as long as you don't block the vents.

I see some people with Apple or Mac parts in acrylic cases for display. Where can these be found? I wouldn't mind a G5 processor in a plastic display or similar.

New Desk - New Setup

New Desk to replace my small wooden one, took like four hours to build, but it's great, totally worth the time and effort. Much better monitor spread, don't have to angle them as much to fit on my desk. Also, a lot less clutter at the moment. (That's going to change, probably, once all the stuff that came out of my old desk finds a home again.)

Pleased with the results, especially the built in USB hub that came with the desk. Makes my cable management a bit better, though as far as power cables go, not much I could do there...

Nice. The light side (Mac) and the dark side (Windows)!
Need to sort out those power cables though.

Yeah, I got the iMac and Macbook power cables, others are speaker wire type of connections. PC is a different story.

Like the contrast of the apple and windows workstations

Thanks. I got a fully built 2012 iMac for gaming, then said screw it and recently built a small form factor gaming rig that is quiet.

Here's the start of my new setup - Soon to be added will be a 27" iMac for video/photo editing, along with a new dock for the iPad Mini. Not much, but a start. The room was never used and intended for a spare bedroom, but since the wife and I don't even use our other spare bedroom it was time to move my "office" from the cold basement to a warmer climate

Sorry for the sharty quality, still learning to use the Canon in dull lighting without a flash

Very nice setup. What kind of monitor are you using for your gaming rig?

ASUS PB278Q 27" 2560x1440. Check the link for the rest of the specs.

Which desk is this?

I bought the desk from Home World. I got it locally in Hawaii so I'm not sure if they carry it on the site, I couldn't find it. If I find the name I'll let you know. See link below.

What usb hub is this? Do you like it?

Hub works good enough. No issues with it yet. It's USB 2.0, but they make another USB 3.0 one. Before I got my PC I had my gaming accessories plugged in so I needed more than the 4 oboard USB ports. Actually, come to think of it, I ended up using an 8 port USB 3.0 hub that went behind my desk. Not an issue now either way. Good for quick plug devices like USB sticks or something. See link below.

4 Port USB 2.0 (one I have)

7 Port USB 3.0
