That can't be good on your neck...

Its actually not as high as it looks, mainly b/c the chair is on its highest (u cant see that in the picture).

I think ill keep it like this for a while and ill see what i like better from there.

^ Nice setup! But holy crap, read the rules! Use tags, make thumbnails! Also, was it really necessary to post TWO huge images that are almost exactly the same of your desk, and of the iPhone? I can barely detect any difference between them.

Very nice setup though. I love the mat...I can't ever find those things, NewEgg seems to be always out of stock on the size I want.

Well it's been a while since my last post, since then I've updated a few things so I figured I'd post a new setup pic.

Got a few fun new things:

Billy Joel Signed album - The Stranger
James Taylor Signed album - Greatest Hits
1.5Ghz Powerbook G4
8GB iPhone
Antique Candlestick phone (rewired, fully working)
Sinatra door poster
16x LaCie DVD Burner

Here is the flickr page for tag fun: <snip>

Where did you get the glass desk from?

I've seen a lot of setups recently here ever since the new iMacs came out, but one that I have yet to see is that new iMac with a set of Logitech Z-10 speakers.

I didn't want to make a new thread just for this, so I'd like to request some pics of a setup like this, here, if anyone has both pieces of hardware :)

And can anyone (who own a set) comment on the quality of the Z10 speakers?
I currently have a set of FX6021, and I realize it's unfair for the Z10 with no sub to be compared to the FX6021 (which are awesome!), but i sure like the simplicity of the Z10 (not to mention that i don't need the extra wires running all over the place and space taken up by a subwoofer, too).

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Those speakers look awesome. The only thing that concerns me is that they require Windows to get all the functionality. That is, unless I missed it when I was looking at the specs on Amazon. Maybe someone else knows..

my mac setup (past)

  • Powermac 7600/120
  • Macintosh 16" Color Display (832x624 fixed resolution)
  • Apple Portrait Display (640x870 fixed resolution, greyscale) via secondary PCI card
  • Mouse Systems optical 3-button ADB mouse
  • Keytime ADB keyboard (Dvorak layout)
It was way back in 1997, but it was a nice setup.

If you're picky about that kind of detail, I would recommend the HP w2007, the w2207, or the w2408, depending if you're trying to match to a 20" or a 24" iMac.

WARNING:
At least w2408h has color adjustments only through windows application.
"Color..."-menu in display's OSD is grayed out...

there is actually a script written by someone to get the PC functionality into OS X:

meanwhile, would still love to see someone with the new iMacs with a z-10 setup :)
