nothing special.... 42 inch LG TV powered by a 2012 mac mini, kliptsch 2.1 speakers....

the MBA usually just charges there, or if I'm watching a movie at the desk and still need to be actively online, it comes in handy....

the iPad i use mainly for travel, as well as the MBA, but sometimes I don't always feel like taking it with me unless I absolutely know I'm going to be doing something more then simple....

34um95 powered by a 2012 rMBP 2.3 i7/16gb/1gb via thunderbolt. 2tb time capsule + 2tb usb (upgrade soon) not pictured. Bose QC15, htc one m8, ipad air. I plan to mount a 25" 21:9 above this as an auxilary display.

I am SO glad you posted this! I have more or less the same laptop as you and am looking into purchasing a similar monitor. Are you just using a plain Apple Thunderbolt cable? Any problems so far?

Ya just an apple thunderbolt cable, works fine. Pass through of sound and usb works unlike some posts I read online.

When you say pass through of sound works, do you mean that if i plug in speakers into the monitor they play just fine?

Sorry for noob question, but just was curious.

Yes, usb and audio are carried over the thunderbolt cable. My bose headphones are plugged directly into the monitor.

I'm a minimalist. I have an office but work in my kitchen most of the time.

My MBP with an anti-glare film applied,

Hi , just want to ask you how do you like the anti-glare firm? Does it has grainy textures? Also what brand did you use :)?

Thank youu
I love it! It doesn't degrade the image at all. No rainbows, weird effects or any grainy texture. It does what it is meant to do. I moved from the matte screen of the 2011 MBP so was used to that.

This was the one I have,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C2CRDJU/

you can check out the reviews. Most of the negative ones are from people applying it unsuccessfully. It wasn't easy but it wasn't that difficult either. The challenge is that it fits perfectly within the rubber frame. There is probably less than 1/2 mm on any of the sides. I can barely see any reflection at the edges.

If you apply it properly - without air bubbles or dust underneath, you won't even notice it is there.

Thanks for the info. That looks really nice. I'm seriously considering getting one of those now. I just fear the air bubbles and trapped dust particles I'm almost certain I'll end up with. :/

New suit for my pc!

Hey guys,

Thought I'd update my setup since I got a new case for my PC. This is also an update post-logic-board-replacement for my Mid-2010 15" MBP and, so far, it's doing well.

So, I switched cases from a Fractal Design Define R4 to the new Silverstone Fortress FT05 for a few reasons. 1) I wanted a more compact case; 2) get better airflow; 3) Prevent sag from the long Gigagbyte GTX 970 G1 that I also recently purchased.

I think the FT05 is worthy representing in an apple forum since the design are as much thought out as an apple product.
