The MacMini gets really hot. The Chassis acts as a heatsink. Mounting under the desk I'm wondering if that'll be an issue.

Good point. I check from time to time if the MacMini is getting too hot but for now it seems okay. The mounting bracket is obviously totally open on one side and on the top (or bottom). The air vent (at least I assumed it is an air vent) on the MacMini is aimed at the exit of the mount and has no obstructions.

My new workspace at home. In addition to flexibility with an MBP, I also wanted a desktop solution (also for kids). First consideration was an iMac 27inch but the 'bezels' are huge on that device. That's why we opted for a slimmer alternative: Mac mini (2018) 3 GHz i5 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SDD + LG 27UD88-W 4K monitor. The LG monitor has USB-C connection so I can also use it with my MBP. The Mac mini is connected through HDMI. With the button below the screen I can easily switch between HDMI or USB-C.
Mini hangs under the desk with a Mac mini mounting bracket. Spacegrey magic keyboard and touchpad. A HomePod for music.
Can we see under the desk?

Thanks for asking, it's a Sharp 43" 4K TV. I maintain a website and run my business from this computer, but saved some money using a TV instead of a computer monitor. I use the monitor in 1080p in OSX and 2K (I think thats the right term) in Win 7 in bootcamp.

Considering you can get an 8700k in a mac mini and people often bought heatsinks to cool their 8700k desktops that occupy almost as much volume as the mac mini itself does, I'm not surprised!

Nice setups ... but I am a bit conflicted about a guy whose username is @UMHurricanes34 with a UGA helmet on the display shelf.

I have family ties to the U but personally attended UGA. 2005 (when I registered on this site) was a very different time and, of course, I can’t change my username.

Try not to lose too much sleep over it 😂

Nothing too glorious, but here we are. Mac Pro 4,1>5,1, and a 13” 2014 rMBP, with a Dell UltraSharp 1440p display.

Little Mac corner of the bonus room - space to work from home when needed (my MacBook travels to my office where I use it in an almost exact setup). 2016 15" MacBook Pro still going strong, iPad Pro which is great for Apple News and travelling. AudioEngine A2+ plus speakers which are unreal considering the size.

Bought a Vivo stand for my monitors and mounted them up today. Dell U2715H on the left, and U2717D on the right. Still adjusting them a little bit tonget the right angle, but I am liking this so far
