View attachment 2233475Decided to upgrade from a dell xps to Mac Studio m2 max. Much cooler and exponentially faster. The Kanto tuks are great PC speakers, and the air pods max perfect for apartment living late night. The embody chair is the best computer chair I’ve owned to date. Only thing I’m missing is a great piece of art on the wall.
Is this the Samsung LC34J791WTUXEN (I'm sure this is just a face roll name!)? Are you connected via thunderbolt?

I've been looking at picking one up and was wondering how crisp it is and how text looks?

This is the model before the one you listed I think. This does not have thunderbolt, and the hdmi didn’t work with the studio max, so I use the DisplayPort. At the time it was a very good monitor (pricey, as it retailed for around 1k), however, the picture is not 4k. As far as picture quality, it is very good. No complaints. But I have not used a high end monitor like the Mac Studio so don’t know how it compares

Thanks for the response. Food for thought for me, thank you.

My new Mac Pro 8.1 came in and really excited to see what the M2 Ultra chip can do! I pretty much maxed it out minus the 8TB option SSD (Went with 4TB instead.)

Before any of you ask or wonder; no I’m not going to keep the 7.1 in my desk setup, I was mainly just transferring everything over and thought it was worth a “shot”. 😅
love the desk. would it be possible to post a link of where you got it please?

May I ask which iPhone stand that is? Thanks!

I would like some help with the cable management that I don't have to change that much when i get a MBP.

This is an old photo from about 20 years ago. That desk was massive! My setup now consists of my laptop on one side of my recliner and my iPad and iPhone on the other side! I have my iMac on the desk and unfortunately my 20th Anniversary Mac is in the closet because I have no room to display it. At one time (when I lived in a much bigger home) I had 16 macs of various ages; all on display, all booted. Here is my Apple history in order:

Apple Macintosh Performa 430 (1993)
Apple Power Macintosh G3 266 Desktop (1997) with Radius Pivoting Monitor
Apple PowerBook Duo 280c
Apple Macintosh LC II
Apple Macintosh SE
Apple Macintosh II (Original)
Apple Power Macintosh 6100/66 (PC)
Apple iBook G3/366 SE (Original/Clamshell)
Quicksilver Power Mac G4 with 17” Apple Studio Display
Apple PowerBook G4 867 12”
20th Anniversary Mac
eMac USB 2.0 (2004)
Apple MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.33 17”
Apple iBook G3/800 (32 VRAM - Tr)
Apple PowerBook G4 667 (Gigabit - Ti)
17″ iMac G4 (Late 2003)
Apple MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.4 13" Late 2011
Apple Watch 3
Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
2021 9th generation iPad 10.2
and various iPods of all shapes and sizes

If you provide more details on your setup, I am sure many fellow MR members can help. I also tried to hide all the cables and things sorted out with hidden USB hubs and other tweaks.
