Nothing fancy. Mid 2014 15" MBP, Dell P2715Q monitor, Mackie CR3 speakers.
I want another monitor but don't have the funds right now.

What's the exact model of your CRT? It looks like a Sony Trinitron. Is that a 13"?

Yup, it's the 13". Model is KV-13FS100. It's a great little tv. I've been on the hunt for the 20" version but it's not too common. I think around the time they came out people were "going big" with the 36".

My computer Aug '15.jpg

The same early 2009 Mac Mini 2 GHz, original 120 GB HDD still soldiering on, upgraded from 1 GB to 5 GB RAM to run Mountain Lion.

The 15" Viewsonic monitor that cost about $US 250 in 2005 (when I bought the original Mini) has been replaced with a 22" Samsung that cost $85 (end of line special)

Wired broadband (orange and white terminal) arrived in the neighbourhood earlier this year; from 2007 till then I had been using mobile broadband (dongle next to the speaker on the right of the top picture).

Circa 2005 powered USB hub back in use to run more peripherals.

External optical drive as the internal one no longer works reliably.

External HDDs - Then a 320 GB HDD for Time Machine. Now 1 TB for Time Machine, plus 500 GB for extra storage, mainly archiving photos and old files, some dating back to my first Mini. Seldom accessed, but occasionally handy. The internal HDD is only about half full, and tidied up from time to time.

Mouse on the other side; I am ambidextrous with a mouse. Keyboard cleaned…. I do that every few weeks now…. didn't used to!

Audio input plug (yellow, behind the monitor) as I have been using Garage Band to digitise some teaching material I have on cassette tapes.

Summer 2015

I finally bought a 27" iMac! - Back in 2011, I settled with the 21.5" base iMac although the 27" was so tempting. Now, a couple of years later I've finally got the 27" beast. Also got a new desk and rearranged a bit. I sold both my old iMac (mid 2011) as well as my 1st gen iPad Mini as it was simply too slow. Happy! :D

- iMac 27" Late 2013
- rMBP 13" Late 2013
- iPhone 6
- Apple TV 2nd gen connected to the living-room TV

32" Vizio M Series, Late 2012 13" Retina MacBook Pro, Xbox One, Audio-Technica ATH-M40x all sitting atop an IKEA Micke desk with a Staples chair.

Oh! I've been thinking of picking up that desk. Quick question... are those actual drawers or keyboard drawers? I really don't like keyboard drawers because they're uncomfortable but the few desks I've used with them are a bit taller than I'd like. I live about 1.75 hours from an IKEA and I'd hate to make the drive only to be disappointed.

I haven't posted for a long while. This is my current home office set up. MB Pro Retina 13' (Mid 2014), 256GB SSD 8GB RAM hooked up to a Thunderbolt Display. I also use a current model 13" MB Air on my second desk from time to time. I love this set up for portability. I live on the east coast but am Creative Director for a San Francisco Area skin care brand so I often have to unplug and hit the road.

That's a change for the worse, what a shame :( Still probably a great place to be for views!

I liked his post for the beautiful view, not the fact that it's unfortunately changing for the worse. That is a shame, but I'd still love a view like that either way.
