Only thing new is the 2 TB time capsule - my 500 GB 2nd gen finally had the power supply die after 7 years.

Went refurb on this one since this was one of the few times the refurb was actually a significant enough savings over new to matter ($180 vs $300). Very happy.

My iMac just arrived a moment ago. I just got it setup in position and moved the Mac Mini over to the right side of the desk. I'm waiting to power the iMac up until it warms up to room temperature. When FedEx delivered it the temperature was 20F outside. This thing is going to be awesome.

Looks great. What are you using each one for?

The mini was my Mac that I was using along side my desktop PC. The Mac Mini was for web browsing, email. I also use it for some things while the desktop PC is rendering. In addition it is the iTunes server.

The iMac is going to be for iOS development and testing on OS X for graphics performance. I could use it for graphic design and video editing depending on how well it does. It certainly has the best screen in the house bar none.

It is a late 2015 iMac 4GHz, 16GB RAM, R9 M395X, 1TB SSD.

I was going to wait until after I was done setting up the new office but I figured I would track my changes.

I work from home for my company so this is my primary work area.

Back wall has a 30" hooked up to a 13" MBP and two 21" LCD's hooked up to raspberry pi's. One is running MRTG monitoring the network at my work and the other runs SNORT monitoring the same network. Both are turned off during the photo. There is also my primary BW laser printer. The MBP is used for organizational tasks and email. I also keep a headset connected to the main computer, a document scanner, and a label printer.

My primary desk consists of two 30" dell connected to a desktop where most of the work is done. This machine is 12 core, 36 gb ram, and 2x1 tb ssd in raid 0.

The far wall contains a 47" LCD connected to a computer that I use for video conferencing and a color laser MFP.

**I should clarify Snort and MRTG are installed on higher power devices at work. The raspberry pi's are just display devices here**

Got some cleaning to do and need to tidy my cables but I just got this set up (finally!)

IMG_0057.JPG

Mac mini w/Thunderbolt Display
13'' Macbook Pro
24'' 1080p Samsung LED
Denon AVR + bookshelf speakers.

The green thing in between my thunderbolt display and speaker is my chromebook. I mostly use it to fiddle with Linux these days. Man, baseball is gonna be good this season!
