Ooh-I toyed with the idea of a mechanical keyboard but was worried it’d irritate the people in the room when I’m working. What’s it like to work with?
Not the OP but I’m pretty sure that that’s an HHKB. I use one, too. Mine is the HHKB Professional Hybrid Type-S. The S in Type-S stands for “silent”. It’s certainly not silent but it’s very, very quiet. Quieter than the Apple Magic Keyboards and much quieter than mechanical keyboards. (It’s technically not a mechanical keyboard, strictly speaking, though it certainly looks like one.)

I’ve had mine for 3–4 years or so and I absolutely love it. I type a lot for work and find the sound and feel to be perfect. Do some research though, as some people dislike them.

It’s a somewhat quirky keyboard, and there is a learning curve of a few weeks as the keyboard doesn’t have dedicated arrow keys (arrows are accessible with Fn key combinations).

I should add, one of the nice surprises was that you can use the Vol_Dn, Vol_Up and Mute keys to control volume in macOS, and the ScrLk and Pus/Brk keys to control brightness!

Some minor tweaks. Loving it so far, will be replacing desk mat with black leather one.

What resolutions are you using on the two displays (in macOS)?
"Looks like" 3360x1418 (ultra wide) and 2560x1440 (16x9). Unfortunately, macOS doesn't offer a 1440-vertical for the ultra wide, and no other "same vertical" other than 1080 or 2160. But 1418 vs 1440 vertical "looks like" are close enough.

The available resolutions are: 5120x2160, 3840x1620, 3360x1418, 3200x1350, 3008x1269, and 2560x1080 (Default) (And lower, not bothering to show the lower as they're ridiculous.)

This is my current setup. Left an iMac (2009) only used as a monitor, center a Thunderbolt display and right my most recent iMac (2019) which drives all three monitors. I am waiting for the Mac Mini with M3 to be released, hopefully this fall, after which I wish to upgrade/replace this setup with a Mac Mini with two (curved) monitors.

Love the rustic look of the walls.

Can I ask how difficult it was to install the monitor riser please? I'd love to get 2 for my monitors.
They're very simple to install. Either clamping on to the desk or drill through the desk top. Mine is through the desktop but works exactly the same.

I've had a few different types or monitor arms and they've all been very easy to set up

Thanks soakey. The clamp will probably work best for me. I need 2 that can not only go up and down but also can angle the monitors.

The search is on.
