sort of an unfortunate acronym, isn't is?

thats probably the most ridiculous thing ive heard. the poor band now is getting only recognized by being in madden. when they have been around for about 7 years.

DoFoT9: hahah ya, anyone need some PC components?

QCassidy352: STD : Saves the Day... awesome band. You probably know them from madden 2007!

That's sigworthy.

Unfortunately I have no room. Any takers?

Nope sorry, i have enough STD:s already ;)

Look what I started.

Yeah, I started listening to them back in High School (1999 or so). I didn't know they were in Madden '07, which song(s)?

Post Your Mac Setup: Past and Present! (Part 5)

Here's some interesting statistics I compiled.

Part One was started on June 14, 2004. By the time it was split into Part Two, on November 4, 2007, it had 11,135 posts.

Part Two
was started on November 4, 2007. By the time it was split into Part Three, on January 1, 2008, it had 1,132 posts.

Part Three
was started on January 1, 2008. By the time it was split into Part Four, on February 20, 2008, it had 1,076 posts.

Part Four
was started on February 20, 2008. By the time this thread was written, on March 24, 2008, it had 1,005 posts.

This would mean that Part One acquired 11,100+ posts in about 1,245 days, for an average of 8.94 per day.
Part Two acquired 1,132 posts in 58 days, for an average of 19.51 per day.
Part Three acquired 1,076 posts in 51 days, for an average of 21.1 per day.
Part Four acquired 1,005 posts in 33 days, for an average of 30.45 per day.

These show that membership here is skyrocketing. My estimate would be that this thread will reach a thousand in approximately 25 days, assuming y'all decide to let it live.

Guys, according to records, I have posted in Part 4 seventy times. So, I don't think I'll add to the boredom the statistics cause with a boring setup.

Yes but in my opinion there is a heck of a lot more chatter in parts 2-4. I think allowing the thread to hit at least 2000 would be better than cutting it off at 1000.

Remember the epic MacBook vs. Blackbook vs. iBook debate ten or so pages back?

I think the splitting is somewhat beneficial for this thread...or rather, this series of threads.

It seems like it stimulates conversation and more posting.

Head for the hills from sound the alarm.

The best album was through being cool, then when I grew up In reverie was awesome, although lacking the lyrical genius of Chris C.

Wow, love the simple setup, especially with the huge LCD monitor.

Thanks

sweet setup the 30" HP suits your Mac Pro perfect. how are the JBL speakers? are they good for music and gaming? also i notice your using your Mighty Mouse instead of the Logtiech... do you like it better?

The JBLs are decent little speakers. When I move this setup up to my listening room, I'll use my main stereo system and headphone rig for music. The JBLs are surprisingly good for their size.

I'm using the mighty mouse at the moment because I just received the MX Revolution (newegg had a good deal) and hadn't let it fully charge yet.

Love the mac pro man, awesome! As for that Superbad-dvd on the left side there :D that´s one hell of a funny movie.

It is extremely funny. You can see an Indiana Jones box set to the left of the monitor too. Now that I have the Mac Pro and a ton of hard drive space (3.5+ TB) I am slowly ripping all of my DVDs.

My Mac Pro setup at home.

That printer table brings back memories of my old days, it used to be my desk, it held a CRT, and an old Dell, now it has a 2004 sony vaio, i have now got a bigger desk, that thing has been around before the turn of the millennium!!
