Dude, love the hot dogs!

Received my new Black MB today, retiring my 4.5 year old 12" PB to role of an internet/chat tablet for around the house (bed, toilet etc) so I can leave my MB at my desk/in my bag. Also have a MacMini in the office which if good for studying as can still put a book on the desk under the screen and leave the keyboard to one side. On the MacMini mostly use the mouse for scrolling documents and rarely the keyboard, using a laptop means my books have less desk space.

Girls and Hot Dog's now thats a setup ;)

Ya, doesn't that bug you? lol. I know my air's 13" screen + my dell 20" WFP bothers me. One looks so small and the other is WHAM huge.

One time, I took my powerbook (15") to an Apple store and hooked it up to a 30" ACD. Now THAT was creeeeeeeeeepy.

Anyway, it's time for the Most Retarded Places to Put your Laptop while using Fireworks Contest™!

Extra-Soft Mattress FTW!

Currently running at 60 degrees Celsius.

what are those screens hooked up to?

A new hackintosh.

Good Riddance... LOL :D

The iMac's a nice machine...it just wasn't right for me.

How are you liking the dual screen setup, does the difference in screen size between them bug you?

I've always had dual screens (for about 7 years now), but this 24" is the largest. The size difference doesn't bug me per se, although of course I'd love to have a second 24" (maybe one day). The 20" serves well for the secondary things related to what I'm working on -- documentation, iCal, tools and pallettes for Photoshop or Illustrator, etc. When I'm in my real office I'm on a 15" MacBook Pro with a 20" Apple Cinema Display, so I'm used to dual monitors that aren't the same size.

Man, is it me or Dell Displays look so much brighter than others (including ACDs) on pictures?

It probably doesn't help that I shot those pictures with a wallpaper of a bright white sandy beach on the 24", but yes that 2407wfp is insanely bright. I have the brightness at 60% and that's about as much as I can stand.

Love the setup, nice job as usual.

Sorry for the low lighting. Thought I would take a picture with the new iPhone.

Turn it up to 100% and get a nice tan while your at it! :D

Nice Hackintosh BTW.

Mines being a pessimistic asshat. Doesn't wanna do dual displays. Damn FX5200.

ooooh, what desk is this? I love it.

Thanks :) I probably should start posting details about the desk with my pics, because I invariably get posts or PMs asking about it.

I built it myself. The surface is four 8"x1"x72" white pine boards. They're glued and screwed onto a frame of 1"x2" pine, and the legs are just plain black steel legs I grabbed from my old desk that I threw out. I gave it three coats of a nice satin varnish, but I need to redo that and then layer something harder on top of it because it's too soft. If I write on it, for example, without something underneath the paper, I might make indentations.

I've got a fanless XFX 7600GS in mine. Got it for $40 on eBay. Runs OS X great with dual displays and, of course, is completely silent.
