Agreed. it took about 8 months after the release 9f the iMac for iMac clones in candy colored plastic to come out...

First came the iMac.

eMachines, before being bought out by Gateway, produced the eOne, the iMac's bastard child.

Then, last year, from the dust of the eOne, the One was introduced. Apparently, the white Core 2 Duo iMac had twins, and they looked like...

I think that Apple should sue Gateway for copying the iMac twice, and I should sue Gateway for the eOne and One being so fugly.

WOW! You're setup is amazing! I wish my camera wasn't at the repair place, then I could post my setup :)
 
New setup in my dorm, a little tight but its cozy.

-Mac Pro Octo 2.8 8800gt
-Dell 2407
-Razer ProClick mouse
-Canon Pixma MP610
-Beresford DAC w/ AKG K701s
-Bose Companion 3s (going soon hopefully for something better)
-1.67 powerbook in my backpack

I'm guessing your a Logic Studio user?

I'm gonna say it again, but don't put your accoustimass (shut up, i know, i spelled it wrong) on top, put it on the floor, it belongs there, and if possible, put it in a corner.
 
i would but there is no hole in the desk to run the wires down, and i dont want have wires running down the front of the desk.

Actually mostly use PS and aperture but I enjoy great sound :)

Hey - pretty sure it is solid wood. It is very heavy and very sturdy. No real complaints with the desk whatsoever. Hope that helps :)

Ditto. I think I want a new desk instead of the crappy worktable I have, the kind they use at church dinners. :rolleyes:

But, I did get my 2.2GHz Blackbook today! :D OK, OK, I know it's kinda pointless telling y'all now. I can't set it up till Tuesday, so...

we got our 2.2 2gb whitebook over the weekend!! family computer, kinda sucks because the mb's are out, oh well:rolleyes:.

Well, how is the speed overall for you? My previous computer was a 2GHz Core Duo Thinkpad, and it's been great so far.

I can't stand the white color, it makes it look less professional IMHO. Black is a little rarer and more suave. :cool: What do you think about the whole white/black debate?

EDIT: Oh, and QCassidy, mine is used. Just FYI. I am not pissed about the updates!

Well, doesnt matter, a family computer, mostly my moms, it sits in the kitchen, but i dont care:p, ive got my own powerhorse in my room for my video work, and my little photo, and music work. Its not insanely powerful, but i would say its the second most powerful in the mac lineup :p (MP first). I wanna see what they'll pull out on tueday.

As for the white/black, i would say black, and plus black matches the imac, but the white macbook as the nice smell!! the white looks like a toy, but is pretty, but then wait, and you'll want a blackbook, problem is the grease stuff.

Are both the monitors hooked up with your MBP? (Nice feature with that extra little box you can buy) Dual monitors (23+inch per monitor) is pretty sweet on a MBP.

EDIT: Changing that, was tired in the middle of the night here, can you hook up the monitors? ^^

Yeah I hear ya...I see so many ideas like cable-hiding, location of a card reader :), lamps, desks, and color-schemes...

:)

I have had my MBP for about 2 months and can't wait to post my setup :)

Oh man, when I had my mini I had this beastly cable-hiding scheme. Everything was lumped behind it so when you walked in the room, it looked repulsive, but when you sat down, it was wire-free Nirvana. The only wire was that of my keyboard. (visible, anyway.)

How do you think he has his MBP connected to both monitors when it's obvious from the photos that there are no cables connected to the MBP?! I didn't know the new models came with wireless monitor capabilities! Also, from the XP theme/scheme it's pretty obvious that the LCDs are connected to his IBM tower.
