more details on your setup and some mixes would be nice. Why did you go with 8's instead of 5's and do you have alot of vinyl or do you mix with mp3's?

I went with the Rokit 8's instead because I produce music thats very bass driven, so I wanted more low end. I also have the RP10 sub. I mostly play mp3's thru finalscratch these days because alot of the tunes I get aren't out yet on vinyl. But I do love my vinyls ;)

iMac 20" 2.4ghz 3gb ram (first gen silver/black one)
Macbook 2.4ghz 2gb ram (lastest gen black macbook)
Ecler Nuo 5 Mixer
Sennheiser HD25-1 II DJ Headphones
2 Technics 1210 MK2's (Shure M44-7 carts)
Stanton Finalscratch 2
2 KRK RP8 Speakers
KRK RP10s Subwoofer

I have a few records, mostly dubstep, drum and bass, and some breaks/hardcore/electro etc
bowz_dj_dec08d.jpg

As for mixes, I don't really have a recent one because I do a weekly radio show and just haven't recorded a proper studio one in awhile... but here's a dubstep mix from awhile ago...

Wish me luck on my finals this afternoon!

I swear to god, if I see one more IKEA desk, I'm going to go Tyler Durden on this community.

funny, but saying this in a forum where the whole goal is to show how you fill your so called "meaningless and consumer-oriented" life, by some, very nice if i might add, apple products and Ikea desks, seems, to say the least, a bit strange.

but ey, nice movie reference!

Old a couple years ago: Power Mac 6500 with G3 500MHz upgrade. I still had the old Agfa flatbed which sounded like a cement mixer. You could hear the 6500's fan a mile away too. Had it for nine years before it gave way to the new.

New: Mac Pro 2GHz, two displays and a newer Microtek flatbed. Not as much noise now either from the scanner or computer! :)

I was too lazy to pull out the 40D to shoot pics so these are just with the ol' Canon SD1100IS P&S. Ignore the pesky blue wire, it will be gone this week when my airport express arrives. Also ignore the crappy walls, Japanese teacher's housing FTL:(

Nice setup.
I checked out your website and flickr account; nice photography.

Good luck with finals.

A friend of mine used to go to Emory. I visited the campus and it seemed pretty nice. I love Atlanta!

thanks for the compliment and good luck wishes, almost done!

Atlanta has treated me well, I might stay after graduation :)

Yeah, Atlanta is definitely a nice area.
I am from Charlotte, N.C. but my college is about 2 hours from Atlanta so I go there on weekends just to get away sometimes.

Sure, it's the cover of a limited edition book (3000 prints) called "Gangs of Kabuki-cho". Kabuki-cho is a "mizu shobai" or "water trade" district (in simple terms this means red light district but it's MUCH more complicated than that) in the Shinjuku ward of Tokyo. This is the cover of a photography book filled with images from Kabuki-cho during the 1960s and thereabouts. VERY cool nostalgic book.

Link to pic (I just set it on a black background):
