Recently added a 2 TB MyBook RAID-1 for Time Machine. About 8 TB total storage in this picture.

Ye olde iBook turns 10 this year as my mobile computer and portal to OS9. Has a few knicks in the case, but so is to be expected of an older machine.

I threw in a 80GB hard drive, maxed the memory to 544MB, battery has about a 5 hour charge, and it runs Panther decently. I mostly use my antique for e-mail, internet, and showing photos.

Man, that's awesome that you're still putting it to use. Those are awesome computers. I can remember marveling over how awesome they were when they first came out. I was a PC user without the money to switch at the time and I thought they were really cool.

I ended up buying one a couple of years ago. I liked it, but it had trackpad issues and the 800x600 screen really wasn't good enough, so I sold it. I still think they are really cool, though. Gotta love the looks and the handle.

Hey ham radio! I too am a ham - W0EA. Good to see that some hams are using macs! I suppose I'll have to get a shot of my setup in this thread pretty soon too, but I just got my iMac so I have yet to get things set up exactly as I would like.

73 my friend!

He he, thanks. Yea, my budget issues don't allow for a new notebook, but again the only time I use a notebook is to check e-mail or the internet. Most of the heavy work gets done on my Mac Pro at home.

The trackpad is a tricky issue. If you don't put it back together correctly, the pad can misfire for an eternity. It has to do with the pressure being put on the case with the tor-x screws. I don't mind the 800x600 resolution. It just means you can examine details more closely in an image! ;)

Linky for the lights? :) I really want to get some of those LED light strips soon. Although my relationship with IKEA lighting has been subpar to say the best. Their bulbs are generally awful. No one can screw up LEDs, though, right?

I wasn't able to buy them on IKEA's website, so I went the eBay route. You can still find a few on there. I LOVE these things.. :)

Here's my setup. 20" iMac, Brother laser printer and Logitech VX Revolution. The dock is for the iPhone, which I was using to take the shot.

What's that I hear? Some of you sniffing and snorting at the 20", thinking "I got the 24", so I clearly get more women than you do" or "oh, I would've gotten the 24", clearly I have more testicular fortitude than you do."

Whoa, whoa, hold on there, tiger. Looking to the left, you see this.

.

Yes. A 10' screen. That's ten feet.
