New Mac Mini all setup finally. Crappy pic but here it is...

131513723.jpg

What I have:

Mac Mini - new base model (upgraded to 3 GB RAM)
Macbook (alum - upgraded to 3GB RAM)
I bought a 4GB RAM kit for the Mini but I split the 2GB sticks between the mini and the macbook. I was originally set on selling the Macbook but I like it too much now to sell it for a crappy netbook.

Dual 24" Westinghouse LCDs. - Left monitor is currently displaying my Windows gaming PC, right of course the new Mini. Mini is set to run both screens until I want to play a game. I just switch inputs on the left monitor.

Keyboard/mouse - Logitech Illuminated Keyboard + MX Revolution - I use synergy to use 1 keyboard/mouse when I have the Windows PC on to keep from having to use another setup. Works great.

Phone is a Blackberry Bold. iPhone had to go for various reasons *cough* multitasking

Not shown: Windows Home Server in the other corner that is currently rebooting randomly. Probably bad RAM.:mad::mad:

Some really, really nice setups in this thread :) I envy so many of you :p I'd love to have an iMac, really want to save up for one. I shall post my setup tomorrow as it's too late right now and the camera is downstairs anyway.

The display is not the same height as the iMac, so it would look weird.

Yeah, too bad it doesn't have height adjustment like 99% of the other displays in that price range, not to mention most newer TN models

I choose to buy 3rd party displays so I can afford to buy :apple: computers.

1.83 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

1 GB 667 Mhz RAM (need to upgrade)

It is currently running 10.4.11. I havent had time to wipe the hard drive and reinstall a current OS. It is aggravating because it is constantly asking for a password to download stuff.

oh, then you really got a bargain :D

Yes it does light up, but there is no scroll ball, that would be perfect!

I have that mouse in a box in my closet. It has a dial on the underside with a plus and a minus, moving it to plus makes the red brighter, is this sensitivity, or speed or anything, i really cant tell any difference.

Edit: it doesnt make anything brighter, my finger was getting in the way. Still, what does it do?

Edit 2: Google is my friend: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA26018?viewlocale=en_US

It's funny to me how almost all of you have the same Ikea furniture, the same computer, and the same clock screensaver. And a lot of people ask "What desk is that?" or "What desk pad is that?" or "What speakers are those?" which leads to more of you having the exact same stuff. You've seen one setup on MacRumors, you've seen them all.

well yes you do get the same desk and things a lot, but saying that its the same computer is just stupid. even though apple dont do hundreds of computer models, thats good. and there are endless setups. ive not seen anyone with my 'setup' (iMac 24", MBP 15" 2.53, Samsung 26", PS3, Bose Companion 5 etc...). also ikea sell a lot of products, to a lot of people... you are bound to find people that have the same product, thats how a company makes money:p

I think your setup looks good! Nice Hackintosh, too. The desk may not be the "clean" Ikea style that some have but that doesn't mean your setup isn't nice! :D

Just got my new powermac g5! I love my setup now. The only thing I have to do, is get dual monitors :) The g5 looks weird in the picture, and my wall also looks weird. I think theres something wrong with my camera :( just ignore the weird lines that go across the image. Btw, does anyone have any suggestions for an external FW800 drive that CHEAP in canada(Best buy, Future shop, tiger direct etc). The internal drive on my Powermac is 80GB. I need an external that i can partition into an 80GB(Time machine) and the rest for my media :) Thanks.

Me got a question for you (With the Hackintosh):

Do you think that the color of that desk is 'maple'?

I bought a bed from....Costco I think it was, that their color scheme said my bed was 'maple'.

But now I can't find any good desks to match with my bed.
And also, where did you get that from?
