Updated my setup (see below) with a desk light and coloured LED lamp.

How are you liking that VX? I was thinking of getting one eventually, if I would ever go and use VSTis live with a MB.

The vx is great despite all the bad coverage they get. I've had it for just over a year and for what they cost its a great keyboard/controller.

My MBP isn't there but I will be replacing it soon with the new 17". Sony Blu-Ray player and Wii under my ACD. Watch the TV from my bed when I'm relaxing.

it seems like you also picked up a new HP monitor cause it still has the stickers all over it:p, anyways what size screen is that HP monitor?

Actually, the HP monitor is about two or three weeks old. I don't like taking off the stickers ;). It's a HP w2408h aka 24" monitor, sitting proudly next to the 24" iMac. Sadly it is about 1.5" too short :(.

I originally wanted a Dell 2408WFP, but wasn't able to find any decent prices on eBay and didn't want to wait 2 weeks for Dell to ship... so I picked up the HP for my MacBook. The iMac was a very unexpected purchase. $1,200 for a 2.8GHz 2008 iMac? Steal! I'm a tad sad it came in a white box instead of retail, but oh well.. I save a good ~$500.

Oh, me likes that setup :) As well as the presence of the Adobe Creative Suite box. When I've got some money I'll buy CS4 Design Premium student edition, you get a huge discount on it. But it's still 400 bucks :/.

Damn man, sweet setup. practically my dream setup. Now to more important details. Address;Hours your out and whats the security number???? :p

I brought my 22inch monitor up to work because I got tired of having such a small second monitor. I generally have several instances of terminal running as well as a web browser and could really benefit from something even bigger than this 22inch monitor. Sorry for the crappy iPhone picture. When I get a digital camera that automatically sends to my Facebook or Flickr I will be tempted to use my digital camera more.

Thanks! I was going to upgrade to CS4 but never got around to it so I'm just waiting for CS5 to come around.

Thank you! LOL... For some reason I don't feel safe telling you that :D

Isn't the stand on that HP monitor height adjustable? I have the 22incher of that series, and mine is adjustable. I'd suggest lining up the LCDs, I think it'll be much more functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Is it reliable enough to be used in a live situation with some VST like Omnisphere etc.?

-J

I'd say so. Just leave the firmware alone on it when you purchase one as the versions that have been released by CME seem to mess the keyboard up :)

Anyone know what kind of speakers these are?
Do you need a receiver or an amp to drive these?

Not a complete mac setup I know :D but I consider the 30" cinema display enough to put my stuff in here :)

Excuse the crappy iPhone pics :D

Here's mine I haven't bothered with a setup photo in a long time, so I thought I'd throw mine up again.

iMac 20" 2.4GHz 3GB RAM 320GB HDD
Wacom Bamboo White Medium
iPhone 8GB
Random assortment of photography equipment on the left.

Wow, such a pretty sight! Only if your desk would have less things on it..:D
