just got home and started up my new 24" 2.8GHz/2/320 Imac to keep my MBP company. I walked into a apple store and walked out with one for under $1300 AFTER tax :D:D:D:eek::eek::eek:

I wonder if they're going to update the mStand so the foot on it matches the new iMac's and the 24" display.

Doubtful it will be anytime soon. Last fall they had only begun making slots in the front allowing access to release the display latch. That was a functionality aspect as well, not pure aesthetics.
And really, sloped vs. not sloped = not a big deal (for me anyway)

Hi everybody,

I've been following these threads forever and now I finally got around to take some pics of my setup...

100_2505.JPG

Things I like very much:
- Managed to reduce cable mess to minimum (I don't like wireless mouse & keyboard solutions)
- Found a workable kvm switch solution between the MacBook and my PC (only used to play games)
- The bottom part of may IKEA Jonas-Hack. Turned the original small extra desk upside down and added some drawers and my little white "Game Cube" fits into the remaining space perfectly.
- Ambient lighting solution. Simply taped some christmas light under the top shelf.

Things I'd like to work on:
- Top part of the desk-hack. I's love to have the LACK shelf mounted at the wall, but it's too weak. I guess I'll have to wait until we move in fall... Unless someone else has a good idea.

^ love those 15" PowerBooks! And why does a 4+ year old computer have something a brand new one does not have?

Does anybody beside me think they should make the Apple Keyboards illuminated?

I do because I love my backlit KB in my PB. I have a hard time seeing my external KB at night but no problem with my PowerBook's internal keyboard.

1. THX

2. Actually, Mordor is hidden by the display, so I'm rather looking at Mirkwood or the Shire... But I wouldn't mind taking a trip there! :D

btw: The map to the right doesn't show Mordor either, because it's a map of Beleriand (now I just revealed my complete geekness:eek: ).
